    This is a great video. Thank you! I just started stained glass a few months ago and I can't tell you HOW MUCH your videos have helped! You're always so concise. For what it's worth, I've been talking you up in my stained glass class. And that you can to what you do with those nails, blows my mind! My daughter has similar nails and loves to watch with me just to see your nails! Thanks again! And I have the Stay Mark and discovered I have been using way too much!

      Thank you so much Karen!! So glad you enjoy my videos and have found them helpful. Hello to your daughter, my sister in long nails! Lol.
      And totally could see that, it's such a small amount/coat that i used and it worked so fantastic. I was so happy to see how easy it rinsed away, easier then my chapstick. Deff a new fav product!

    Very useful information. I once tried chapstick but I don’t think I waited for the sharpie to dry and my ring saw still washed it away. I’ll try again and maybe consider the Mark Stay product. I have the Taurus ring saw and it does spray a lot of water. I put it in a huge Rubbermaid tub when I use it amass I hang paper towels around the opening like a curtain. I use it a little as possible because of that. 😒

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  6 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks Donna! And for sure. Used to love my grinder bin!! But ill be honest that i don't miss having to use it. 😂 And absolutely. I think not only letting the sharpie dry for a good bit but the product as well makes a huge difference.

  • @janellegarvella5399
    @janellegarvella5399 6 месяцев назад +1

    Seems like a regular grinder might be a better test when you might have a bit more glass on one side that you didn't cut perfectly and the grinder is spitting water for a longer period of time as you grind away that extra glass all around the line? Thank you for the test! Love you subscription!

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  6 месяцев назад +1

      So a normal grinder doesn't rinse away sharpie lines/nor rely on them as they are cut away before grinding or not even used at all with traditional paper patterns. ! It's a ring saw thing. And thank you!!! So glad your enjoying my videos 🖤🖤✨️✨️🙏🏻🙏🏻

  • @Artsrock36
    @Artsrock36 6 месяцев назад +1

    I applied it with my finger rather than a brush also used too much after watching you maybe why it did not work for me gonna try again your way fingers crossed. I was so excited to get it then really pissed after a few seconds on ring saw marks slide right off as usual honestly same result as using nothing

    • @MakenzieHallie
      @MakenzieHallie  6 месяцев назад

      Are you giving the sharpie plenty of time to dry before applying the product/using the ring saw? All of these should work exactly the same, so something else has to be goin on here I'd say!

  • @BrittanyLinak
    @BrittanyLinak 3 месяца назад

    You probably could also use the product called new skin but I don't know how easy it would be to wash off after, it would have to be an experiment like you are here to find out.

      😂 It's alot of Vaseline! 7.5 Oz! And no idea, I was sticking with the well known names/brands people commonly use for this purpose. Gotta remember I'm shopping for the video, not for myself or for the cheapest option like I would day to day. And thank you as always Michael! So glad you enjoyed it! 🙏🏻🖤✨️

      That's something I haven't tried, great idea! I'm still trying to find a good solution--the Mark Stay didn't work for me (my lines came off just from handling the glass when I was breaking it), and I've tried several oil-based paint markers but they get clogged up constantly--I'll try this. I'm also looking into "Extreme" Sharpies and other markers designed for gardeners which are supposed to be super-waterproof.
