But out west and down south if you really want to save money and reduce the strain on prices in store its best to buy an entire cow at auction for a few hundred, pay the butcher a few hundred and have an entire year's worth of beef. Beef prices are so crazy because farmers are acting like they can't raise a decent cow off grazing most the year. They've fucked their land so badly or sold off and are solely reliant on feed so the costs are going up for them to bulk a cow up well enough for commercial slaughter qhere as the everyday person with a deep freezer can buy a decent cow at auction and make out big. @@LiberPater777 lol.
      No.
Preserving food only goes back 12k years or so. Cooking far longer. Early man likely used hot stones next to fire to set food on that would cook it by accident. Although man controlled fire far before they cooked food purposefully, that doesn't mean that it wasn't happening.
Cooked food gave them huge advantages over competition by stopping certain illness and allowing them to store food before preservation methods were stable.
They did not learn to smoke or cure food with salt or dry in the sun purposefully before they actively used fire to cook the food.
Anyway. Cooked food required less resources from the body as well as kept the smarter ones alive allowing more energy for mental growth. Just because they didn't have a fucking oven and a cast iron skillet doesn't mean they didn't cook food.

From the meat to the egg each ingredient in a extremely high quality to ensure and guarantee freshness, flavor, and MOST of all safety. This is most likely one of the factors to the cost. On another note I would never make this on your own unless you know your meat is from a safe and high quality vendor.
