Relacing gloves, especially with your calm, mellow, accented voice leading the way, is like a meditation. It has brought some great moments of peace to a chaotic time in my life. Thanks so much for these!!
Duuuuuuude. Thank you so much for the catchers mitt series. I learned how to relace gloves from your videos. I’ve probably done about 40-50 gloves. A friend on my sons team asked me to do his catchers mitt. I said sure. I thought only a couple laces needed to be replaced. They’re all bad. I was just thinking I wish 30 had a catchers mitt video, and here it is. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I want to do a spiral on the bottom interior of my pocket on my catcher's mitt, it has its junction to the web pocket much lower and there's a lot of impact right at its seam, ever see such a thing as a spiral done there to fully protect that seam with replaceable lacing, or is it a bad idea for some reason I can't envision yet?

That’s very kind of you to say! I always felt that way about Bob Ross. Hopefully one day I can achieve his level of calm.

Thank you for the step by step. I enjoyed the “real” time tutorial. I really appreciate you for doing that. Keep up the awesome work Sir 👍🏻🐐⚾️
That was a nice mitt you have there and an excellent job in relacing it as well too. 👍
So glad you’re back. Thank you.
All it took was a world wide pandemic...the dirty 30 is back. Silver linings! Thanks for the content.
Been waiting for a catchers video for forever. Thank you!!
Perfect tutorial(s). Very helpful. Don’t change a thing. Thanks!
Thank you! Awesome tutorial!
This was extremely helpful- thank you!
You're back! So glad to see new videos again. Can we suggest topics?
Really just trying to fill the gaps on where I left off. I'm always open to suggestions, but work, kids and just life in general gets in the way.
Great videos! Thank you for taking time to explain what youre doing. Where do you buy your lace from?
Tennessee Tanning Co. and Tanners
Thanks for doing these! I am new to relacing gloves and these help. What type/brand of laces are the highest quality, longest lasting laces out there?
Tennessee Tanning Co. and Tanners
Where do you get your laces? They look a little sturdy than what you can get at local stores. Love the videos. Thanks
Tanners or Tennessee Tanning Co. There may be some local places that carry Tanners near you.
great videos. what lacing do you use?
Tanners was used in this video.
Thanks for the great series of videos
How many total laces did you wind up using on the glove?
I believe it was 4 3/16” and 2-3 1/4”
Also do you have to skive any lace for a catchers mitt like you might do for the palm lace on a fielders glove?
You can, but not necessary in most mitts. Unless it’s being annoying and digging into your hand I wouldn’t worry about it.
Thanks for posting all your videos.
Where do you buy your needles and laces?
Lace is from Tennessee Tanning Co. and Tanners. Needles are from Tanners many years ago. They no longer sell this style unfortunately.
DIRTY 30's Leather & Lace Thank you for the quick response and the information.
How many pieces of lacing did you need for the entire mitt?
I believe it was 2 3/16” and 3 1/4”
Is this all 1/4 inch lace on the web and 3/16 on the rear of the glove?
Yessir
Where did you get the yellow Mizuno pickguard?
Google Mizuno pounding pad
