UPDATE: The Longchamp website has updated the sizes for the long handle Le Pliage tote. The old "small" is now the size Medium & the Large has remained the same. The size references for the short handle has remained the same. Hope this makes sense. ❤️
This was an awesome comparison video; the best I've seen! I own the L with the long handles (more of a Mom bag) and the Small with the short handles (more as an everyday bag, and the preferred size for me to carry into the grocery store. I have my husband add grommets to each size bag and add a nice guitar strap to carry them crossbody style); but I have so many necessary pouches that I am considering the Medium with the short handles. After watching this video, I now see that maybe the Small with the long handles might also work (and/or as my young daughter suggested, to put my two Longchamp Le Pliage bags into a nylon duffle bag with a shoulder strap when I need to lug around all the stuff). I adore my Dooney & Bourke bags for all the interior pockets, but the nylon Longchamp bags are essential for me for wiping down, being waterproof, and having a lovely aesthetic. On our longchamp website the smaller longer handle was written as "tote size M". Basically the longer handle aka 'tote' had size L and M whereas the short handle aka 'handbag' had size M and S.

Also, where did you buy the two brown bags?

I just received my medium, and it’s the size that’s perfect for everyday use, I was disappointed the lining isn’t white- or light. Which has no bearing on the use, because I always use an organizer to prevent the black hole effect.

I would guide myself by price 😅 the smaller option will be cheaper. The sizes HAVE NOT changed, it is just the "size name" they are using to describe them. Do you know which model has the longest/most roomy top handle that would allow it to be worn on the shoulder? I want to buy one for my mother in law. She doesn't like bags to come up too close to her armpit when wearing.
The shoulder strap is pretty identical on both, so honestly I think its just a matter of which bag size she would use more. I honestly think the small is such a great size for any ocassion 🤗

I think I saw on the Longchamp website that the factories outside of France are Longchamp factories not 3rd party vendors, so it doesn’t bother me after reading that.

I like the newer ones. I have the small top handle and small shoulder one. I did have an organizer in them but didn’t like the way they looked.
