I think Saw would work better as a Telltale style interactive movie. It doesn’t really lend itself well to traditional action-adventure gameplay.
Heyyyyyyy now *theres* an idea I can get behind… that would honestly be really cool. I can honestly imagine some set pieces set before the test and your actions before the test can actually determine who else gets tested.
I think that it could possibly work but you'd need to take a few creative liberty's to fully achieve it. Make the game first person and give it Condemned styled combat between the saw puzzles with a little bit of resident evil style level design where you have safe rooms, crafting and puzzles.
Or a VR game lol

Ooh maybe like one of those playable horror movie games. (Until Dawn, Dark Anthology, The Quarry) they all have a basically Saw section where you have to get past traps and escape
The girl you save in this game is Amanda Young. Her appearance is supposed to be based on her appearance in SAW II. The reason why Pighead kidnapped her is because by the time Amanda escaped, she already became Jigsaw’s apprentice. So the kidnapping was just a cover to ensure her escape without revealing that she is working for Jigsaw.
Kidnapping her was to make sure the game goes as planned

A few years ago, a couple friends and I had a Saw marathon. The story is actually so intertwined, and good. You’ll only fully understand by binge watching so everything is fresh in your mind. If I remember correctly, the newest one that happened was somehow a prequel and a sequel at the same time lmfao

100% agree, the first condemned is legitimately a great game, but it'd also just be really funny seeing them play it and reacting to how weird and fucked up it is lol. plus it has some pretty hilarious early HD era Vaseline covered character models

And in the beginning its easy but later the puzzles in this game becomes extremely hard, stressful and frustrating.
But i still like the Saw games even if the puzzles can be very annoying.
So hype for this one. SAW is my favorite movie franchise of all time.

I love the Saw movies too warts and all but it's not anywhere close to my favorite films
I think Jigsaw unborn child was murdered by a drug addicted that tried to rob the medical clinic his wife was working late at… on top of the him having cancer situation. Also I think the drug addicted ended up killing himself from guilt before the judge could sentence him. So Jigsaw decided to start taking justice into his own hands.

The drug addict was captured by John Kramer and he was his first test subject. He didn't survive
Not just the cancer, his scan was accidentally mixed up with someone else's and it was caught too late. Plus, his doctor was an asshole who didn't have a good bedside manner
There actually is a story in Saw which for a horror film is quite complicated as each film tends to give a flashback which peices everything together by the time the seventh film finishes

This was the second game I ever played when I got my ps3 as a kid. I was 8. Safe to say it was pretty traumatising
My second game on the PS3 was Bayonetta. Safe to say I did develop a kind of thing for hot mamas after that.

@@jordanmillisor8528 For the same reason that hospitals are generally kept cold. Because cold kills the spread of viruses and packing a room full of people with varying degrees of hygiene, health etc. potentially spreads sickness.

The Saw franchise actually has a really extensive storyline..It was very innovative especially for its time and especially for a horror movie..The game wasn't that good but the movies (At least the first 4) were all time classics
The Saw franchise has a garbage story beyond the first few films everything after that is pretty garbage and straight garbo by the time you get to Saw 3D, Spiral, Jigsaw. Saw X has a decent story IF you turn off your brain and, have never seen how someone with cancer starts to get when they approach end of life. Because they sure as hell wouldn't be thinking of traps, building command centers, thinking straight etc.
@@lutherheggs451 I mean I did say "at least the first 4" meaning that's all I was deffending..after 4 it got convoluted..but as far as your analysis on jigsaw, you're trying to apply rational logic to a serial killer from a movie..even so, jigsaw had a level of philosophy and psycology that no other horror movie character has had before or since...yes, obviously any horror movie requires some suspension of disbelief..youre just being a cynic lol..just saying, to say it had "no story line" is just a generic horror movie criticism that doesn't apply to Saw

Ayyyyyy I played this game back in the day. I remember the controls being a bit janky and the puzzles were stressful af. Especially the ones near the end.
It's weird. I remember the puzzles to be way harder than in this video.
You know what’s crazy? Saw is basically a horror soap opera, despite what they said in this video it DOES have a story and it’s fucking insane lol so many damn twists and contrivances

You can definitely call this channel comedy! It's not traditional written jokes, but these are two traditionally funny guys, naturally being funny together and I love it.
Wonder how a saw game would look now in a post 'The Room' series of puzzle games world since alot of jigsaws traps could work like the mechanical style puzzles in that series

Billy being the puppet name is never actually identified in any of the films. James Wan the director and Co- creator and co- Writer of the Saw franchise who also co created Billy the puppet is the one that name it billy. Writers, directors and members of the Cast and crew refer to the puppet as Billy in documentaries and interviews
The ventriloquist dummy in James Wan's other movie, "Dead silence" is also named Billy

There’s this one game that might intrigue you, Ghostbusters: The Video Game, its on Xbox 360 and PS3, the remaster is on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the game released alongside a different version of it, a more cartoonish version of the game, it’s on the PS2 and Wii, it’s essentially the third movie, both are a great play, you should try it out.
Side note: The Wii/PS2 version has story multiplayer but the Xbox 360/PS3 version doesn’t.
The switch version is pretty good as well

You do realize there's a gigantic backstory that explains why he does what he does that plays out over said 10 movies, right? Not saying it's Shakespeare or anything, but the story is deeper than a lot of schlock horror.

Its fuse box maintenance the game, the "paranoia" mechanic never worked anything close to what people remember it being, the combat is laughable and mediocre if not straight up bad, the story is mid as mid can be. There seem to be alot of people who played it when they were 12 and they thought it was great so they remember it that way.

The horror game you should play is Friday the 13th video game on PS4 because the game is on sale until December 31st 2023 and it’s no longer available on PS4 Digitally.
I've already played the first one after Hen enabling my super slim ps3, it's a very underrated game and it's not your typical movie licensed game as there its plenty to do and has good replay value. The iso sizes were only a couple of GB's so I thought why not. 😀

A Saw game kind of falls flat the same way as all the battle royale games. It works in the story because the character's life is in danger. It doesn't work if you can reload and try again.
