For those features - I’d personally still go with the Air2S any day of the week. All depends on how important the weight is to you really.
great review...from Mavic mini or Mavic mini 2 to Mavic air 2s this is really worth it because air2s is way more advance compare to Mavic mini and mini 2. but for me who has a Mavic air 2 the upgrade is not worth it for me. I'm saving money to buy Mavic 3 and sell my Mavic air 2 in the future. because this is a true upgrade for me. but in general having the type of drone is completely depend on the person and what he really need from that drone. for most casual people even Mavic mini 2 is more than enough. but for professionals or photographers or movie makers more advance drone is mean way better quality for their product.
If Dji didnt disinclude variable shutter they would have had a drone that sold so much they couldn't keep up. BUT, their marketing guy was high on crack when they were designing this. Anyway, it's a beats I see it doing som amazing work for another 2 years.

@@ChadSterley I'd like it. Especially if you can review video samples and what works - what doesn't, specs are fairly omnipresent unless you're telling something new. Btw does the larger aperture help mini 3's small sensor ?
If set SS to a certain fixed value then the exposure will keep changing during flight (depending on ur direction during flight), how do u fix that ??....
@@dronetheworld4k67 this is the same as any other camera really, if you set your exposure in manual (using aperture, shutter speed and ISO), and then change the conditions (lighting/environment), the manual settings will need to be adjusted again. How I handle it is try to shoot separate clips in a particular location (rather than one long clip shooting different lighting conditions). If you do have to shoot a continuous clip (like panning from the ground to the sky and the lighting then changes, I would expose in the middle of the two and then adjust the brightness in post (basically by grading the two parts separately and then fading them together). Hope this helps!
@Chad Sterley lol that's a lot of work Wish they simply added variable aperture Maybe in air 3 ! If I set a super dark ND filter on those sunny days (like ND 256) and set a certain shutter, I might be able to compensate when moving to a darker seen by adding more ISO, sounds like a crazy idea which will add more noise but ain't got a lot of options with this drone 🥱 R u actually shooting many different separate clips and with each setting the shutter speed and isolated manually for every seen ? Or do u land the drone and change the ND filters too ?!... 🤯
@@dronetheworld4k67 usually I have only ever really experienced one or two stops of exposure change scene to scene (where I’ll just up the ISO within reason and then move onto the next clip). Even if the Aperture could change, I still prefer manually tweaking in post, as any auto setting (even if limited to auto aperture) is usually far from seamless and of course changes in aperture affect the image.

great review...from Mavic mini or Mavic mini 2 to Mavic air 2s this is really worth it because air2s is way more advance compare to Mavic mini and mini 2. but for me who has a Mavic air 2 the upgrade is not worth it for me. I'm saving money to buy Mavic 3 and sell my Mavic air 2 in the future. because this is a true upgrade for me. but in general having the type of drone is completely depend on the person and what he really need from that drone. for most casual people even Mavic mini 2 is more than enough. but for professionals or photographers or movie makers more advance drone is mean way better quality for their product.

loved the drone montage!
Thanks dude! Thanks for flying in Wales!
Imo you are totally correct the air 2s is the best bang for the buck out there.
This opinion might change once the mini 3 is released
Yes let’s see what they have up their sleeves 🤞🏻
Mini 3 is going to be 1000$ plus Depending on what version you get
If Dji didnt disinclude variable shutter they would have had a drone that sold so much they couldn't keep up. BUT, their marketing guy was high on crack when they were designing this. Anyway, it's a beats I see it doing som amazing work for another 2 years.
Yeah certainly not ideal, variable aperture would have been great!
@@ChadSterley I couldn't agree more.
I just bought this drone. My first drone.
Great choice!
What you think now about mini 3 pro and air 2s? Which one would you recommend :)
Thanks for watching!
Short answer: I’m definitely not going to buy it
Main reasons: bigger sensor, more obstacle avoidance sensors and 10-bit colour on the Air 2S. I also think DJI priced themselves a bit high on the Mini 3 Pro.
So the title of the video still stands! 😅
Question: would you be interested in a video of me comparing based on reviews I’ve seen? (I.e. not having tested an actual Mini 3 in person)
I know it might be too early, but as of right now, which one would you prefer, the 3 mini or air 2s?
Thanks for watching!

@@ChadSterley thanks for your response. I would def like that type of comparison, but respect your opinion in regards to the Mini 3 Pro. A side by side would be great
Love my Air 2S! 🪰
Where does this review stand with the mini 3 Pro out there(

@@ChadSterley I'd like it. Especially if you can review video samples and what works - what doesn't, specs are fairly omnipresent unless you're telling something new.
Btw does the larger aperture help mini 3's small sensor ?
Funky montage song. Good choice.
Thanks for watching!
good job man
Thanks so much!
2:38 A huge issue tbh
From experience when ur mid-air the exposure will actually change depending on direction you're facing...
Absolutely! Though I always prefer to adjust for this in post (nothing worse than having it in auto and having the exposure shift 🥴)
@Chad Sterley lol that's a lot of work
Wish they simply added variable aperture
Maybe in air 3 !
If I set a super dark ND filter on those sunny days (like ND 256) and set a certain shutter, I might be able to compensate when moving to a darker seen by adding more ISO, sounds like a crazy idea which will add more noise but ain't got a lot of options with this drone 🥱
R u actually shooting many different separate clips and with each setting the shutter speed and isolated manually for every seen ? Or do u land the drone and change the ND filters too ?!... 🤯
@@dronetheworld4k67 usually I have only ever really experienced one or two stops of exposure change scene to scene (where I’ll just up the ISO within reason and then move onto the next clip).
Even if the Aperture could change, I still prefer manually tweaking in post, as any auto setting (even if limited to auto aperture) is usually far from seamless and of course changes in aperture affect the image.
I got air2s but need practice more
Love it xxxx
Thanks Ma xx
how much to register in uk please
Hey! From memory you pay £9 per year, and then need to do a free multiple choice test as well 👍🏻
@@ChadSterley ok thank you very much much appreciated 😊

@@ChadSterley the mini 3 has 10 bit too
Only 0.2 inch bigger sensor on the 2s
All the regulations if you exeed 250g
Obstacle avoidence: do you really need up facing sensors
And yeah a comparison would be cool👍
@@mlzs_ thanks!
So it’s not quite 10-bit on the Mini 3 Pro (D-Cinelike vs 10-bit D-Log-M on the Air 2S)
Get you on the regulations but I had already made that decision when weighed against the previous Mini
There’s no doubt the Mini 3 Pro would be perfect for many people, just not for me 🙂

Subbed !...
Very beautiful drone and very cheep for its quality
Thanks for watching! Totally agree 🙌🏻
nah Mini 3 Pro made the Air 2S redundant... this video is not accurate at all... and sales figures prove it
I think the only drone to buy in 2022 is going to be the Mini 3
The only thing the mini 3 has over this is the vertical gimbal. This outperforms it on every other spec, especially considering this handles wind a lot better than the mini 3

The “only” drone to buy? Who the hell are U? Jack the Lad”? Or NOBODY?
Thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment 🙂
@@ChadSterley lol
Great video, liked and subscribed 👍🏻 🦟.I have the mini 2 now for over 1 year but i would like to upgrade for bigger and better photo’s that i can use for big photoprints. I doubted if the air 2s would be the best upgrade choice for a while but now i’m sure it is 😄👍🏻
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Ah yes it shoots stills in Raw as well, no doubt you’ll love it 👍🏻
🪰 🪁 🦟 💸 I bought my Air 2S today. Like you I love it and want to get deeper into the settings to maximize my drone to the fullest. Great vid!
