In today's episode, Padma Shri #KailashKher takes viewers to a very unique and mysterious temple located in the beautiful #JammuKashmir region, which is said to be one of the largest surviving sources of an ancient section of #Sanatan history.
The #Raghunath temple of #Jammu is part of a complex of 7 shrines, dedicated to Lord #Ram. The temple's history is unique, originating from the ancient #Shivalik dynasty of the #Jammu region. The temple complex itself is said to house around a dozen bark codices written in the #Sarda script of #Jammu, which are said to be some of the last surviving #codices of their kind, housing an immense amount of ancient knowledge and writings on various topics ranging from #astronomy and #medicine to #bhakti, #music and even #literature. The temple is also said to have been an educational centre when it was first built.
