Why carry so many lights? Yeah , someone who doesn't hunt 1-2miles from the road . And I carry a GPS , a 10ft length of rope and GI poncho . I have had to spend a night I n the woods. Need to carry some disposable gloves for dressing hogs , deer too for that matter IMHO.
Thanks for an informative video. Disposable paper does work great for trailing. I keep a roll of toilet paper in my pack just for that. I put a square on enough blood spots to allow my back trail to be easily seen when I look back. If you loose the trail you can look back and see if the animal is slowly veering off in a particular direction. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Even when an animal isn't arrowed. Thank you, sir.
Another great video! A common trait of proficiency is simplicity. Thanks for sharing the absolute essentials based on your vast experience. Definitely don’t want to get caught in the swamp after dark without a light, that sounds stressful. Take care!
I’m hooked to this channel you put out good info. Even though you give a lotta secrets away, people still won’t find your spots cause they’re too lazy to hunt where you hunt.
Good video. Our packs are nearly the same. A couple things you might wanna add that weigh nothing but may save your hide. A cheap boat whistle in case your hurt or lost, people can find you easier than you yelling. I carry "bleed stop" in case I get cut while boning one out, also add a bandage to cover the wound if you get cut. A couple of Tums in that pill bottle would be a great ideal, heart burn or indigestion can ruin a day. Good luck this year. 🐖🐖 I wear a small game vest with a mesh back when its hot, it lets your back breath a little.
Your the first person on RUclips that I've seen that carry four flashlights. I do as well after learning a few hard lessons. I had a light fail years ago after I'd walked several miles into the woods in the Missouri Ozarks. A severe thunderstorm blew in about dark and which made it extra dark. Trying to cross swollen streams in total darkness isn't fun and neither is almost falling off a huge bluff. Every since then I carry at least three lights not counting the little pocket light that I always have on me. I find these so called survival experts aren't the experts they claim to be when they show their kit loadouts and only have one little light if they even have a light at all. I just found this channel a few days back but it's already become my favorite bow hunting channel. Partly because there's no attempts to sell me something I don't actually need and partly because everything said here just makes good sense imo.
I always look forward to seeing a new video from you! Can't wait to get back out there after some pigs myself. I'm going to be trying to get one with my hickory bow I finished this summer. Good luck and God bless!
When it gets dark in the swamp it's dark. Can't have too many flashlights or extra batteries. Old John-boy, I think you call him hillbilly knows this very well.
Great video! What kind of material do you use for your arrow shelf and side plate? I've found that trash compactor bags work good for redneck waders as they're a little thicker mill plastic. I can get half-dozen creek crossings before they spring a leak. Prior to hunting season, when the TP on the roll in house gets down to low, I pull it off and save it for hunting season with a rubber band around the outside and a small travel pack of unscented wet wipes stuffed inside the cardboard TP roll. I've also found that quality made leak proof zip-lock bags and small pieces of string work good for a #1 up in the tree. I can hang the bag by the string off the side of the stand until it's time to walk out. Many thanks for your videos and wisdom! God bless you Robert!
I hunt private land on the Ocmulgee river and I checked some persimmon trees today and they are loaded,, and the hogs are thick... good luck and hope to see you on the river..
Another awesome video my Brother. Love your videos and Chris's videos. keeping it simple and doing what works for you. I never did bone out a deer or a hog but after watching several guys bone out a buck last year, looks like the way to go. Camo, I only used camo to hide from other hunters. Give me a plaid cotton shirt and life is good. Yeah, Chris likes to use those "Per Simmons" broadheads too and he is pretty mean with them. I have seen the deer going out to eat persimmons out in a paved road as they dropped from the tree. And I totally understand the extra lights and batteries. I never had a light explode like that when I dropped it but had a phone do it twice. I never use it but carry it. both times my wife called to check on me. That's a mighty fine reading book to carry too! Hope to see a hog killing video soon!
Thanks for sharing your videos, much appreciated! Is your dog have some hound in him? I have a blood hound mixed with lab and she is a good young dog. Thanks for all your efforts to share with us it's much appreciated!
Robert, is that the same bow that Chris Spikes used in one of his latest videos, doesn’t look the same? Anyway does Tracy make these bows for sale? If so how would one get in contact with him? Thanks
The bow used in the video Chris used was made by Tracy Potter I got it from him. I don't think he sells them. This bow was made by a good friend Tracy White, he does not sell them. I'm lucky to have them both.
Incredible common sense and a practical approach. Thank you from South West Scotland.
@19:02 those are Claymore Mine bags. I have 2 that I got an army officer to get for me 40 years ago.
Great job, Robert. A lot of hard earned wisdom in this video.

Another great video! I carry just about all the same stuff in my bag, including the King James. Thanks for sharing Robert!
I really enjoy your videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures and your love for the Lord. God bless.
Dang RC! Got me itching to get down in the Georgia swamps! Cheers from NC!
Thank you sir for sharing your wisdom. Don’t send any of those skeeters over to West GA, we got plenty…👍

I've got one of those army bags. Used them for shotgun shells on dove shoots very long ago. Haven't been on a dove shoot over 20 plus years.
Why not?

Another great video! It’s almost time to be back in the South Georgia woods!
Inspirational, thanks Robert 👍
Another good video. Very good information and ideas. Thank you.
Thanks!
Perfect set up and great explanation!

I use Velcro for arrow rest material.

RC looks like those Army Packs have Magazine Pouches? For an M-1 or BAR? Maybe someone in The Military can chime in?
Somebody told me they were for claymores.
@@robertcarte95 That's what I was thinking. Claymores.

I'm thinking that instructor isn't going to take too kindly to you replaying his content for free😅. Great explanation!
Mr Robert would you use that pack with same contents for ground hunting deer?
Purty much.
Good stuff - looks like we pack the same. I do carry more food on an all day lol come on August 15!!
Another great video. I also carry two headlamps, two flashlight and extra batteries. Never owned a GPS. What is a good one?
I wouldn't know mine is very much outdated. Lol
Wild pig? Never hunted one, but will be. How do they taste compared to domestically raised?
Love your channel here in California Sierra Mountains.
They taste better. More lean .
Hey RC! Great Video!
I love your videos
Awesome video

She is a black mouth cur. A fine dog. Very smart and a squirrels nightmare . Thanks!
@@robertcarte95 sounds like a great dog!
Can you show your deer hunting setup?
What is the poundage of your bow?
48@26
Mr Robert, how do you like that wood pecker drill? I’ve thought about getting one just not sure how long it takes to setup
The woodpecker drill works good. Like anything it has a learning curve.
@@robertcarte95 how long does it take to get 10 bolts high once you’ve figured it out? “Roughly”
10 minutes tops. Once you drill a tree then you come back next time and just put in the bolts. The holes will grow up every year
@@robertcarte95 thank you. I feel like it’s a super good setup
I always like to see what others carry in their packs for hunting. Hey, where's the TP?! LOL! Great video, thanks for sharing.
That's what the paper towels are for!! Lol
Those are claymore mines bags
Common sense, KISS….
What spine arrows you shoot
Depends on the bow. On the persimmon bow I shoot 500 spine with 300 grains in the nose. In my Hill style bows I shoot 600 spine with 325 in the nose.
@@robertcarte95 Thank you! You still hunting with a lonewolf hang on
Yessir.

I'm in Facebook jail right now and can't comment over there right now.
