Watched this in the late 90s, with my father. We were crying at the end of the movie. It's been more than 20 years. My dad went home to Christ in 2009, and I long for the day I will see him again. But beyond that, I long to see Christ face-to-face and tell Him of my gratitude for saving me, despite my sins. The time is drawing near. Maranatha, Amen. Come Lord Jesus!
Amen I understand what you mean. You have watched this in the late 90's but honestly it was done in the early 80's. Because I first saw this when I was 11 yrs old & I'm 51 now. I can't wait to see our Lord and savior. I too had lost my youngest son when he was 17 to cancer in May 2009. It wasn't easy for me but from all the pain I never blame our heavenly father or our Lord Jesus Christ for it. Jesus easiest my son pain & took him home. Our Lord hears us every day when we give him all the glory & thanks for giving us all a second chance to choose him as our Lord. He will always protect us from harm.

With everyone getting sick & dying this is all Lucifer's fault. Our Lord easies the pain we have & we have to fully believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior. So yes we do live our lives out fully & believe in our Lord will return to take us home with him. And Jesus return is rite around the corner.
I was 12 years old when I was saved and repented , I’am now 70 years old. We’ve been studying the book of revelations the whole book went back to reading the whole book again we are in the book right now I never thought I would be left to see this , praying and hurting for the unsaved . I’ve lost a lot of people in my family but I guess God decided to keep me here so I have to do what’s right to tell everyone that’s unsaved the word of God.
You are the first person Ive come across on this site to indicate their empathy for the unsaved. I feel the same empathy and it is deeply troubling. Particularly concerning is the separation from loved ones due to differences in faith. Like yourself, when I first began studying the book of revelation, I felt it was unlikely Id be around when those events unfolded. Forty years ago the world, as you know, was a very different place back then. Sure, bad things happened, particularly as time went on but it is the people, by and large, who have palpably changed. At the start of this decade (2020) I began studying the bible on a regular basis. I suspect Ive known all along that Id be present for the momentous events foretold in Revelations. There are so many others who have indicated that they have known that they would also be present. In contrast are those who in spite of all the miraculous signs and symbols, from biblical wonders to foretold events thousands of years ago, they continue to hold fast to their blind denial.
It was 88 or 89 when our church then, Calvary Bible Baptist Church, showed us this movie. It scared me so bad that I got saved and baptized that very day! I was 11 or 12 yrs old. I searched for years for this movie and talked about it to my children. We finally got to watch it together! Glory to GOD!!!

I got saved when I was 12 at a Baptist weekend retreat. After seeing the movie A Thief In The Night. That movie scared me silly. I never forgot it! Im thankful for it though. Made a believer out of me real quick!
This is my first time watching this. (im 14 years old right now) I do struggle holding on to god but this movie gives me more faith and tells me that the end is near. Praise be to god for letting me know that
You must know that God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, that although He hates the sin, He loves you the sinner. If they will just come to Him and repent in their heart of hearts of all their sins, and proclaim Him as their Lord, the Son of GOD. The reason I believe in the God of the Bible, the inerrancy of Scripture and that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. We have a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report super natural events that took place in fulfilment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are via divine inspiration and not from men alone. The super natural events are important in that they show the divine nature of God. Jesus Christ cast out demons, healed the sick, blind, deaf, dumb and paralyzed, walked on water, fed thousands with little, and was resurrected all of which have eyewitness accounts. The feedings alone were witnessed by the thousands He fed on the two separate occasions that we are told of in the Gospels. John tells us that there were many more miracles than what are recorded in the Bible/Gospels and that it would have filled volumes of books upon books were he to have written them all down and that it would have taken more than one lifetime to do so. The claim that men wrote the Bible so it can not be true means that no other book ever written should be believed, no matter the topic as they're all written by man. The Bible is not just a book it is a collection of books written over a period of thousands of years of which all those books are linked together by One Divine Author. In this collection of books there are over 40 authors but only one Devine Author who links them all together via the Holy Spirit. Those authors wrote down His inspired Word given to them by God. 66 Volumes/Books in the Bible. The bulk of the New Testament was written over a period of around 50 years. It was in 49 AD to 53 AD when the Scripture writings of the New Testament are thought to have begun. With the last living Apostle John dying in 100 AD. Over a period of around 1500 years it was preserved and passed on: In 3 Languages On 3 Continents There are 66,360+ source documents that have been found for the entire Bible of which there are 24,360 and counting source documents for the New Testament alone. 5,839 in the original Greek, some 2 million pages 18,524 translations of that Greek into other languages Some of the oldest sources date to 125AD which is within decades of the completion of all the books that were canonized as the New Testament. The New Testament cannon, (Gospels of the Apostles/writings, Epistles/letters to the early Churches, all sources and eyewitness accounts that were to be included), was decided at the Synod of Carthage in 397 AD. Those asking for "Scientific Proof" about the Bible are either ignorant or asking with evil intent. An intelligent person knows that the scientific method can not be applied to verify the Bible. Scientific Method is: 1) Has to be observable. 2) Has to be measurable. 3) Has to be repeatable. Therefore no history can ever be proven via scientific method. You must use the historical method based on: Eyewitnesses accounts. Documents from the time or as close as possible. Make sure the story is corroborated by as many sources as possible. Look for anyone/anything that attempted to prove any of it false in that time period or as close to it as possible. Did anyone successfully prove any of it untrue? If they had/have why is there no record found anywhere of it ever being disproven? Luke = Historian A man of science, a physician, an educated and logical man who researched and gathered the accounts of eyewitnesses. He recorded the actual eyewitness accounts of our Lord and Savior, those who had heard Him speak and saw some of the many signs/miracles He performed. He did this because the life of those eyewitnesses were coming to an end and he was inspired to write them down via the Holy Spirit before they could be lost or perverted by time. John = Evangelist John is organized around 7 specific events/signs/miracles all seen by eyewitnesses and corroborated by many. So he also provides proof of accuracy/truth. Mark = The shortest of the Gospels and is very direct or "Just the Facts" if you like. Mathew = Was written to the Jewish audience and that's one of the reasons for the extensive genealogy of Christ. There are also more than a few references to the Old Testament in his gospels.
Peter = He lays out all the proof for the Bible and it's accuracy in 1 Peter Chapter 1. He makes the arguments that justify it all as truly what happened and that it all happened as recorded in the Gospels, the entire Bible. All of the Apostles were eyewitnesses of Jesus and/or of the resurrected Christ. Including Paul whom Jesus came to as he was on the road traveling to Damascus to persecute more Christians. This would have been the resurrected Christ or a form of Him that came from Heaven. There were at least 300 eyewitnesses still alive when Corinthians was written who could have disputed it but no one did. Mathias became the 12th Apostles after Judas hung himself so the argument of there not being 12 Apostles comes from ignorance or evil intent. There have been over 25,000 archeological digs in which there has been absolutely no evidence found that proves anything in the entire Bible false but in those digs many things have been found that prove it true. Other cultures and non believer's historical documents show or corroborate people, places, wars and many things that are in the Bible. Yet none of them prove any of it to be false but they do strengthen it. Word for Word Translations prove just how accurate what we have is when you consider there's no way anyone could have falsified any of it, be it via intent or mistakes. Many church fathers in history have made extensive notes that include scripture throughout the centuries and no matter the time or place all those references to scripture corroborate each other. Which shows just how accurate translations have been throughout time and still are as long as they maintain a word for word ideology during the translation. To falsify any of it they would have to change every single source, do it in three languages, on three continents, over a span of thousands of years, with no one catching any of it, no one ever talking about what they'd done, leaving behind no traces that they'd done it. Not to mention they'd have to steal all of those sources to change them, changing them would be a massive undertaking considering they were hand written in those times and then put them back without ever being seen or caught during the entire process. My last statement is this: Simply put the Bible can defend itself like a lion just let it loose. (Use Scripture to defend Scripture because it is a collection of eyewitness accounts that has been proven true again and again). There's a very good movie titled "The God Who Speaks" that covers much of what I've said above. If you still have doubt I would recommend you watch it and even if you don't because it was very well made and presented. Take care and God Bless.

Sadly much tricky deceptions get into US churches of "new" movements that had and will try to replace the real hunger to know scripture of the Bible . Help christians that you know are being disciplined by leaders there for speaking truths ..look carefully at what's happening and realize some in the USA will be hassled by other called by name sheep or that have no real knowledge of their bibles .
yea, the grocery store scene in this movie is happening right now and the people lashing out and at each other and then more murders. it is all worse than this movie and it will get worse than we can all imagine, it will be worse than the days of Hitler and all the evil that ever happened on this earth. happy through Jesus by fearing the Lord and Jesus loves you all. Jesus knows us, he will prevent the good people from having to go through those 7 years. One year like a day... Daniels final 70 th. week of 7 days. The Bible says it will be the worst era since the beginning and till the end of the earth. But be careful, the demons are already flying low... today I encountered a crazy man, who 40 years earlier would not have been allowed to roam the streets. He was out of control, truly dangerous. Demonic... Take care and don’t get vexed by the low flying demons. Do not engage them. Ask Jesus Christ to deal with them for you. Rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ, and they will flee.
As Christians, we are called to joy, not to hopelessness and negativity. We should focus on what God has done for us instead of dwelling on our current suffering and pain. We are called to share that joy and hope with others.
You know it’s funny, whenever I’d imagine what the tribulation might be like, the weirdness of what we are living through isn’t far off. Maybe this is Gods wake up call..? The technology is here . The chipping system is possible these days. I just feel that something has shifted spiritually. Do you guys feel this way? Or am I being over the top ?
I believe we who are Holy Spirit filled are being directed to see reality and not be deceived by all the lies and deception playing out in the legacy media. Every believer is having a spiritual awakening and eyes wide open to see the moral and ethical decay that is preparing the world to receive the anti-christ when Christ opens up the first seal of judgement. You are not alone...and I believe God is allowing His Church to simultaneously sense it and grasp everything that is happening to separate the wheat from the chaff and to prepare us for His imminent return. Fascinating and exciting times we are witnessing.

The problem that many cannot see is certain churches are changing to on the screen , in the sanctuary , church services . I been within as a Christian for 43 years and the previous normal way to carry out services is better and certainly not like some sin now because it's of a past time . The new ways of services are strangely wanting and peculiarly fishy . Also some are now adding getting rid of sunday school altogether and even bible studies are done with watching only a TV screen like a true and false quiz !!! Than if one is as me been saved a long time were treated as a sore thumb to be watched to receive discipline UNDESERVED !

But when pastors bring in the latest or socalled new movements , as SOSO Prayer and any new age ideas calling it as if biblical , that makes it even harder when pressure is put on Christians to go with the program or don't be true and different . The exoneration is we do not have to go 'obey' .. we belong to God . The 'half' pseudobelievers do not want to ever study their bibles . God is far more reasonably logical than man to answer to men . I got saved in 1983, 16 year old, and this was 1 of the first Christian movies I saw, and it greatly impacted my life. Seeing it back now after so many years it still moves me, it was a phenomenal production for that time, and now it is even much more clear that Jesus can come back any moment! Let's be ready and let's tell others about Jesus while there is still time!
We have it too, then we found it on sale at a Christian bookstore on DVD so we swooped it up. The guy at the cash register was snooty about it calling it "one of those old corny movies" that don't speak to today's generation. I told him God can use anything to reach someone and this movie is as pertinent and good today as when it was made. I always thought it was one of the more realistic movies about the end times.

I remember watching this with my children in the early 90s. And thinking we are close. But But 30 years later we are a lot closer. God bless Jesus is returning I don't know when. But it's closer now.

The people in the movie are within usa, running from the beast system. We even see sherrifs gunning people down , shooting them in the back. Lawless horrible what has come of USA, a once free nation taken over by technology, now its a race of government vs freedom to control the technology, like the terminator movie. Horrible.

I watched this with my grandmother over and over in the early 90's. I thank God that she taught me what she did. I was a prodigal. I fell away from the church and from God into deep darkness for 25 years about. I became an occultist and was deeply Satanic. I even got a tattoo of an inverted cross on my arm which buries me in shame every time I see it. One year ago I encountered Jesus and he saved me. I was so far away from him but he chose to show up and extend his hand to me and take the veil off my eyes. He showed me his truth and live and mercy and brought me to repentance. Then suddenly everything my grandmother had taught me about Jesus and Revelation came rushing back. I am so grateful she instilled this in me because we certainly are awaiting Christ's second coming. I believe in my whole heart that wr will see it in this generation. Praise God I was radically saved. As a born again Christian just one year in I have lost everyone. Every friend Every family member. I am facing persecution. I have lost 2 jobs, but I will not stop preaching the gospel and sharing my testimony. I am ready to die on this hill. Jesus saved my life.
I have lost a lot of people also since Christ saved me 21 years ago-and trust me it WILL get worse as the time gets closer, and the events of the last few years are showing how soon it could occur. Even so called "churches" will spit you up and chew you out-but stay close to Him and know this is to be expected as you stand your ground on what Scripture teaches. God bless you.
Watch though as many church locations are doing services based just from an on the screen pastor who is not there . But some add more hurt or damage by replacing bible study group meet with on the screen no interaction almost not social talkless sessions of true or false watered questions !!! Many unknowingly buy this . Many fooled by this replacing of interacting insights and fellowship in a study as if a good new way .. please study the problems carefully .. Even if you hadn't been in churches times note the bigger differences of these kinds of supposed socalled good movements and discern carefully whats happening.. See if any have left church there for no known reason and any complaints because these can be very legit !! Don't throw them off and don't buy such are trouble makers only when they are going to leave certain places by how God's Word is viewed. There is an attitude of disdain mindset agsinst any deep or solid knowledge of the Bible WHICH GOD IN Christ more than fosters allowing that to know the word . Don't go by mere momentary views assuming it's okay but look long and hard . Satan is rattling my cage while I write this in a McDonald's seeing comments here .. Please look carefully if you see anything that hasn't matched up with the way services have been for decades and don't assume anything in church is all okay any place . We're in these evil last days in places too . Bible says catefully even groups will fall away in ways many collectively ! There is a fake godly apostasy that mimics godliness spiritually thats unknowingly UNGODLY ALL . Please consider this as a christian and take seriously and watch too about "falsified' revivals that are empty really that play with scripture and stomp on godliness that require good discern . I love this movie. I have been interested in Bible prophecy ever since I was a preteen when I first learned that Jesus is coming back. Then you must flee from Judea to the mountains, then you must pray that your plight will not be in the Sabbath... Read the whole context of Matthew 24. This particular verse " those who endures till the end will be saved" is the favorite, classic verse taken out of context by most religious leaders to get a very tight grip on their members, in fear, in submission to their sect.
The Pharisee, Nicodemus, asked Jesus how one can be born again, Jesus stated that one can be "born from above" in water and in the Holy Spirit of Baptism. Jesus never stated the phrase, born again. You are only born once in Jesus.

I absolutely love this movie. I'm a child of the 80's and I don't remember watching this. I also didn't grow up in a Christian home so that might explain why it wasn't shown to me. I watched this movie for the first time about a year and a half ago. I go back to it with the same joy and love from my first viewing. The "end times" are real and these events WILL take place. This is the first time that I watched this movie also, 7/16/22..I thought that this movie was good, an eye opener in what is to come for those who are left behind. Why should the church escape the tribulation when she is whoring against YHWH and His Mashiach? Now I want to know why the church isn't preaching the resurrection of the dead but is preaching rapture. We know that it is the resurrection of the RIGHTEOUS. I first saw this movie 🎥 in 7th grade at a Christian Academy. They called us to the gym and played this on a projector. I had never heard of the rapture before and was terrified of being left behind. It wasn’t until 7 years later I was truly saved and still this film remains exceptionally compelling. It amazes me that even at a Christian school Jesus wasn’t part of the curriculum. I’m SO grateful for the individual who saved me!!! He was an old friend from high school who was in a missionary. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

This movie is mostly well acted, got a good story and seems to point to what is happening now. The people attacking the car on the way to the farm reminded me of the riots over the last numberof years. How they surround cars and want to attack the people in these riots. Amazing prophetic.

I Remember my mother showing me this as a young pre teen and I Liked it, We had on VHS Then and What I really like about this movie was the song in the beginning and I would sing along to it. Now that I have the Movie on DVD I can watch all day long, Knowing that we are living in the end times this movie will change people's lives forever. I was watching a movie like this - can't remember the name. 2 men were walking together and the rapture happened. One was taken and the other left behind. Later in the movie when the man left behind learned about the rapture he said "why did my friend not tell me about this?" - that hit hard. We need to witness to everyone we can and let them know about Jesus.

Amen I understand what you mean. You have watched this in the late 90's but honestly it was done in the early 80's. Because I first saw this when I was 11 yrs old & I'm 51 now. I can't wait to see our Lord and savior. I too had lost my youngest son when he was 17 to cancer in May 2009. It wasn't easy for me but from all the pain I never blame our heavenly father or our Lord Jesus Christ for it. Jesus easiest my son pain & took him home. Our Lord hears us every day when we give him all the glory & thanks for giving us all a second chance to choose him as our Lord. He will always protect us from harm.

I was 12 years old when I was saved and repented , I’am now 70 years old. We’ve been studying the book of revelations the whole book went back to reading the whole book again we are in the book right now I never thought I would be left to see this , praying and hurting for the unsaved . I’ve lost a lot of people in my family but I guess God decided to keep me here so I have to do what’s right to tell everyone that’s unsaved the word of God.
Sometimes Jesus Christ wants us to be alive for a reason.
You are the first person Ive come across on this site to indicate their empathy for the unsaved. I feel the same empathy and it is deeply troubling. Particularly concerning is the separation from loved ones due to differences in faith.
Like yourself, when I first began studying the book of revelation, I felt it was unlikely Id be around when those events unfolded. Forty years ago the world, as you know, was a very different place back then. Sure, bad things happened, particularly as time went on but it is the people, by and large, who have palpably changed.
At the start of this decade (2020) I began studying the bible on a regular basis. I suspect Ive known all along that Id be present for the momentous events foretold in Revelations. There are so many others who have indicated that they have known that they would also be present. In contrast are those who in spite of all the miraculous signs and symbols, from biblical wonders to foretold events thousands of years ago, they continue to hold fast to their blind denial.
It was 88 or 89 when our church then, Calvary Bible Baptist Church, showed us this movie. It scared me so bad that I got saved and baptized that very day! I was 11 or 12 yrs old. I searched for years for this movie and talked about it to my children. We finally got to watch it together! Glory to GOD!!!

I got saved when I was 12 at a Baptist weekend retreat. After seeing the movie A Thief In The Night. That movie scared me silly. I never forgot it! Im thankful for it though. Made a believer out of me real quick!

You must know that God our Father and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, that although He hates the sin, He loves you the sinner. If they will just come to Him and repent in their heart of hearts of all their sins, and proclaim Him as their Lord, the Son of GOD.
The reason I believe in the God of the Bible, the inerrancy of Scripture and that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior.
We have a reliable collection of historical documents written by eyewitnesses during the lifetime of other eyewitnesses. They report super natural events that took place in fulfilment of specific prophecies and claim that their writings are via divine inspiration and not from men alone.
The super natural events are important in that they show the divine nature of God.
Jesus Christ cast out demons, healed the sick, blind, deaf, dumb and paralyzed, walked on water, fed thousands with little, and was resurrected all of which have eyewitness accounts.
The feedings alone were witnessed by the thousands He fed on the two separate occasions that we are told of in the Gospels.
John tells us that there were many more miracles than what are recorded in the Bible/Gospels and that it would have filled volumes of books upon books were he to have written them all down and that it would have taken more than one lifetime to do so.
The claim that men wrote the Bible so it can not be true means that no other book ever written should be believed, no matter the topic as they're all written by man.
The Bible is not just a book it is a collection of books written over a period of thousands of years of which all those books are linked together by One Divine Author. In this collection of books there are over 40 authors but only one Devine Author who links them all together via the Holy Spirit. Those authors wrote down His inspired Word given to them by God.

The bulk of the New Testament was written over a period of around 50 years. It was in 49 AD to 53 AD when the Scripture writings of the New Testament are thought to have begun. With the last living Apostle John dying in 100 AD.

Some of the oldest sources date to 125AD which is within decades of the completion of all the books that were canonized as the New Testament.
The New Testament cannon, (Gospels of the Apostles/writings, Epistles/letters to the early Churches, all sources and eyewitness accounts that were to be included), was decided at the Synod of Carthage in 397 AD.
Those asking for "Scientific Proof" about the Bible are either ignorant or asking with evil intent. An intelligent person knows that the scientific method can not be applied to verify the Bible.
Scientific Method is:
1) Has to be observable.
2) Has to be measurable.
3) Has to be repeatable.
Therefore no history can ever be proven via scientific method.
You must use the historical method based on:
Eyewitnesses accounts.
Documents from the time or as close as possible.
Make sure the story is corroborated by as many sources as possible.
Look for anyone/anything that attempted to prove any of it false in that time period or as close to it as possible.
Did anyone successfully prove any of it untrue?
If they had/have why is there no record found anywhere of it ever being disproven?
Luke = Historian
A man of science, a physician, an educated and logical man who researched and gathered the accounts of eyewitnesses. He recorded the actual eyewitness accounts of our Lord and Savior, those who had heard Him speak and saw some of the many signs/miracles He performed. He did this because the life of those eyewitnesses were coming to an end and he was inspired to write them down via the Holy Spirit before they could be lost or perverted by time.
John = Evangelist
John is organized around 7 specific events/signs/miracles all seen by eyewitnesses and corroborated by many. So he also provides proof of accuracy/truth.
Mark = The shortest of the Gospels and is very direct or "Just the Facts" if you like.
Mathew = Was written to the Jewish audience and that's one of the reasons for the extensive genealogy of Christ. There are also more than a few references to the Old Testament in his gospels.
Peter = He lays out all the proof for the Bible and it's accuracy in 1 Peter Chapter 1. He makes the arguments that justify it all as truly what happened and that it all happened as recorded in the Gospels, the entire Bible.
All of the Apostles were eyewitnesses of Jesus and/or of the resurrected Christ. Including Paul whom Jesus came to as he was on the road traveling to Damascus to persecute more Christians. This would have been the resurrected Christ or a form of Him that came from Heaven.
There were at least 300 eyewitnesses still alive when Corinthians was written who could have disputed it but no one did.
Mathias became the 12th Apostles after Judas hung himself so the argument of there not being 12 Apostles comes from ignorance or evil intent.
There have been over 25,000 archeological digs in which there has been absolutely no evidence found that proves anything in the entire Bible false but in those digs many things have been found that prove it true.
Other cultures and non believer's historical documents show or corroborate people, places, wars and many things that are in the Bible. Yet none of them prove any of it to be false but they do strengthen it.
Word for Word Translations prove just how accurate what we have is when you consider there's no way anyone could have falsified any of it, be it via intent or mistakes.
Many church fathers in history have made extensive notes that include scripture throughout the centuries and no matter the time or place all those references to scripture corroborate each other. Which shows just how accurate translations have been throughout time and still are as long as they maintain a word for word ideology during the translation.
To falsify any of it they would have to change every single source, do it in three languages, on three continents, over a span of thousands of years, with no one catching any of it, no one ever talking about what they'd done, leaving behind no traces that they'd done it.
Not to mention they'd have to steal all of those sources to change them, changing them would be a massive undertaking considering they were hand written in those times and then put them back without ever being seen or caught during the entire process.
My last statement is this:
Simply put the Bible can defend itself like a lion just let it loose.
(Use Scripture to defend Scripture because it is a collection of eyewitness accounts that has been proven true again and again).
There's a very good movie titled "The God Who Speaks" that covers much of what I've said above. If you still have doubt I would recommend you watch it and even if you don't because it was very well made and presented.

As Christians, we are called to joy, not to hopelessness and negativity. We should focus on what God has done for us instead of dwelling on our current suffering and pain. We are called to share that joy and hope with others.
You know it’s funny, whenever I’d imagine what the tribulation might be like, the weirdness of what we are living through isn’t far off. Maybe this is Gods wake up call..? The technology is here . The problem that many cannot see is certain churches are changing to on the screen , in the sanctuary , church services . I been within as a Christian for 43 years and the previous normal way to carry out services is better and certainly not like some sin now because it's of a past time . The new ways of services are strangely wanting and peculiarly fishy . Also some are now adding getting rid of sunday school altogether and even bible studies are done with watching only a TV screen like a true and false quiz !!! Than if one is as me been saved a long time were treated as a sore thumb to be watched to receive discipline UNDESERVED !

I got saved in 1983, 16 year old, and this was 1 of the first Christian movies I saw, and it greatly impacted my life. Seeing it back now after so many years it still moves me, it was a phenomenal production for that time, and now it is even much more clear that Jesus can come back any moment! We have it too, then we found it on sale at a Christian bookstore on DVD so we swooped it up. The guy at the cash register was snooty about it calling it "one of those old corny movies" that don't speak to today's generation. I told him God can use anything to reach someone and this movie is as pertinent and good today as when it was made. I always thought it was one of the more realistic movies about the end times.

I watched this with my grandmother over and over in the early 90's. I thank God that she taught me what she did. I was a prodigal. I fell away from the church and from God into deep darkness for 25 years about. I became an occultist and was deeply Satanic. I even got a tattoo of an inverted cross on my arm which buries me in shame every time I see it. One year ago I encountered Jesus and he saved me. I was so far away from him but he chose to show up and extend his hand to me and take the veil off my eyes. He showed me his truth and live and mercy and brought me to repentance. Then suddenly everything my grandmother had taught me about Jesus and Revelation came rushing back. I am so grateful she instilled this in me because we certainly are awaiting Christ's second coming. But some add more hurt or damage by replacing bible study group meet with on the screen no interaction almost not social talkless sessions of true or false watered questions !!! Many unknowingly buy this . Many fooled by this replacing of interacting insights and fellowship in a study as if a good new way .. please study the problems carefully .. Even if you hadn't been in churches times note the bigger differences of these kinds of supposed socalled good movements and discern carefully whats happening.. See if any have left church there for no known reason and any complaints because these can be very legit !! Don't throw them off and don't buy such are trouble makers only when they are going to leave certain places by how God's Word is viewed. There is an attitude of disdain mindset agsinst any deep or solid knowledge of the Bible WHICH GOD IN Christ more than fosters allowing that to know the word . Don't go by mere momentary views assuming it's okay but look long and hard . Satan is rattling my cage while I write this in a McDonald's seeing comments here .. Please look carefully if you see anything that hasn't matched up with the way services have been for decades and don't assume anything in church is all okay any place . We're in these evil last days in places too . Bible says catefully even groups will fall away in ways many collectively ! There is a fake godly apostasy that mimics godliness spiritually thats unknowingly UNGODLY ALL . Please consider this as a christian and take seriously and watch too about "falsified' revivals that are empty really that play with scripture and stomp on godliness that require good discern . There is almost a setting up apostasy from truth and the very gospel along with true godly long existing biblical knowledge ( not fast quickly tossed forward new 'style' looking right , but cheap godly life and with no grace of God ) as exercised for decades in good Christian groups . Many socalled churches are falling for these new wave styles of teaching , but choosing to not encourage deep study or hunger for scripture though they appear to be . I love this movie. I have been interested in Bible prophecy ever since I was a preteen when I first learned that Jesus is coming back. I'm 44 now and I didn't know about this movie til a few years ago when I was at the library and found it. I'm so glad they have it on RUclips! I don't know why I didn't know about this movie sooner

I absolutely love this movie. I'm a child of the 80's and I don't remember watching this. I also didn't grow up in a Christian home so that might explain why it wasn't shown to me. I watched this movie for the first time about a year and a half ago. I go back to it with the same joy and love from my first viewing. The "end times" are real and these events WILL take place. This is the first time that I watched this movie also, 7/16/22..I thought that this movie was good, an eye opener in what is to come for those who are left behind. These two sets of verses indicate that when Jesus comes back - those who are still alive get Harpazo'd/Caught Up/Raptura.

I first saw this movie 🎥 in 7th grade at a Christian Academy. They called us to the gym and played this on a projector. I had never heard of the rapture before and was terrified of being left behind.
It wasn’t until 7 years later I was truly saved and still this film remains exceptionally compelling. It amazes me that even at a Christian school Jesus wasn’t part of the curriculum.

This movie is mostly well acted, got a good story and seems to point to what is happening now. The people attacking the car on the way to the farm reminded me of the riots over the last numberof years. How they surround cars and want to attack the people in these riots. Amazing prophetic.

Yes it's getting closer to time when Jesus Christ comes to get us. We are our Lord's church & this gives us a good look at what happens to non believers. I don't want anyone to be left behind but that's everyone choice.

So amazing that God lead me to this movie I’m have been reading revelation and I have been feeling Gods presence and warning my members of my family that the repture is now at the door God have mercy on our souls and that we keep in repentance to our lord Jesus being here after the repture is going to be so scary and dangerous with the mar of the beast 🙏
First thing I noticed was just how few people were missing after the rapture in this movie. Maybe there are many people today who really think they know God but God doesn’t know them as His own.
In 1981, this all seemed so far away, and even "sci fi", and now it's never been more real especially the last year and 1/2.
I expect the trumpet to sound at any time.

Here it is 2022 and this movie is so on point.. I've seen this movie years and years ago. I remember Judy calling for deliverance and her dying right there. Stuck with me all these years and when that scene came up I teared up. Jesus is coming soon.. this is the final hour.

I was watching a movie like this - can't remember the name. 2 men were walking together and the rapture happened. One was taken and the other left behind. Later in the movie when the man left behind learned about the rapture he said "why did my friend not tell me about this?" - that hit hard. We need to witness to everyone we can and let them know about Jesus.
