Acrylic Pour Painting Spiral 🌀 Easy Funnel Technique & Negative Space

THE PREPARATION:
For this technique you need a funnel. The material and the size can make a big difference in the final result, so you can decide what you want to try out for yourself :)
Otherwise you mix your colours as usual and prime your canvas with black paint. This will make the paint that will later be applied to the canvas through the funnel more fluid and will create additional cells and a nice negative space effect.
MIXTURE OF PAINT:
30% Paint
50% Pouring Medium (PVA Glue)
20% Distilled Water
4-5 drops of silicone oil, except in the black paint
THE POURING PROCESS:
First you put the colors of your choice into the funnel. Again, you are free to choose which method you want to use. Whether you pour the colour in the middle or at the edge and in which order, always has influence on your final result and is super exciting. It is important that you hold your finger under the opening without interruption, so that the paint does not flow out again immediately. There are also funnels with a straight opening, which you can of course place directly on the canvas and then pour in the paint.
When you've finished filling the funnel, open it at the bottom and immediately start forming a spiral. At the beginning a lot of paint comes out of the funnel, so you shouldn't stay too long on one spot at the beginning of your spiral.
When you have finished painting the spiral, you can still use hot air to stimulate cell formation and then wave your painting until you are satisfied with the final result.
