In my eyes, the only True Kenpachi was Unohana. Kenpachi is literally means strongest. Zaraki isnt strongest, hes downright monster. An anomaly. Among her kind, Unohana was strongest, most baddass, and most devoted to fight and killing. And above all else, she literally created Zaraki.
She was so devoted to the idea of "strongest" and fighting, she created idea, maintained idea, devoted herself to healing so she could enjoy fighting forever, then started to heal others, so there will be more strong people around, then literally created next being to take her place, and sacrificed herself to bring its full potential out. Kenpachi - is idea. And Unohana is idea. Zaraki - is example, but at the same time - exception, hes not an idea.
Kenpachi having a massive clever for his release, is so very fitting. XD
Even funier then you consider the fact that his bankai is same axe but Kenpachi is angrier xD
