Neither the KR1 manual nor the KR1S supplement manual says anything about 60 degrees that I can see. Where did you get the 60 degrees from??

I think i got it from Keihin somewhere. Fyi, my issues was not float height but im glad i checked it. My issues is a tiny brass insert had fallen out of that troubled carb. I had to strip both down to finally notice the difference. I happend to have found it the prior week, not knowing what it was, and put it in a parts bin and was able to have a revelation moment when I discovered it!!! thing runs excellent now..

Don't over think it too much. The idea is to just get light pressure on the stopper. What issues are you having? Is it starving or dumping out the overflow?

When you say a 60 degree angle you must be measuring 60 degrees from vertical as opposed to measuring from the bench top. Are you pretty sure that’s the way to do it?

Good question, pretty sure but you can double check.
