I would say the midboost switch. That can be very helpful when playing with two guitars. Stay safe and well Lars & keep Rocking. Signed John Zepbass Gregory from Munster Indiana. U.S.A.
To the bassheads out there! What specific feature of the Sadowsky MetroLine Bass caught your attention the most? Drop your thoughts below and let's geek out about bass gear!
Hi Lars, another great demo. What a great finish, AND with a maple fretboard, wowsa. I love all the details with the Sadowsky’s; the bridge idea is just one example of how Sadowsky does it right. The quick access, back panel with dip switches-clever, but not just for clever’s sake. And that string tree (the “Sadowsky string-forest") at the headstock, what a thing! I only have the Sadowsky hoodie for now-but, one day!
Debating between the J/J (alder) and the Will Lee. The J/J sounds so beautiful (dare I say delicious) in Lars' videos. How does the Will Lee (with mid boost not turned on) compare tonally with the J/J which seems so capable of subtle and beautiful tones in Lar's expert hands. Also, does the Will Lee produce any hum? Thanks.
Hi there! Correct, all Sadowsky Will Lee models from every price range have "true" single coil J-style pickups. The Will Lee model is the exception from the other Sadowsky models (from the MetroLine onward) which feature the Sadowsky noise canceling stacked J-Pickups. Checking the Sweetwater website, the descriptions in their shop seem to be correct (not stating that the Will Lee had noise cancelling J-Style pickups) - could you please provide a link to the incorrect specs that you have seen, so we can take care of it? Thank you!
Hi there! Indeed! The Just A Nut is a patented design developed by Warwick. Roger Sadowsky and Warwick joined forces in 2020 and Warwick is producing the MetroLine, MasterBuilt Series and some of the Sadowsky custom shop basses under supervision of Roger Sadowsky, as well as supervising and QCing the production of the MetroExpress line. Sadowsky NY is focussing exclusively on the production of custom made instruments since that. As a result of that partnership the German and chinese made Sadowsky basses feature a version of the original Warwick Just A Nut, called the Sadowky Just A Nut III, which has a more narrow and classic design compared to the Warwick Just A Nut III.
What a gorgeous bass.

The mid-tailoring electronics 🤯
You can't beat single coils for tone, dynamics and punch!
The satin finish wow beautiful
Though Candy Red is my favourite 🎸
Any chance of a Metroline PJ with a mid boost ? Especially with a swamp ash body and 5 strings ! 😊
Killer bass!! Tone wise and craftsmanship. The “IFT technology” no sharp frets is what caught my attention. Brilliant!!!👏🙌❤️
IFT is amazing wow what a feature

Do all Will Lee signature models have the single coils? The description on these basses at the Sweetwater site say they are noise-canceling

👍👍👌
Is it true that the Metroexpress share the same pickups as this model?
Hello, do you know the approximate weight of something like this bass? Thx Lars
The product page on Thomann says it's around 4kg.
You never need another bassguitar!
Sadowsky "just a nut": wasn't it Warwick property??? 🤔
