    Remember:
    The function of OneKey Lite is to backup the mnemonics of the hot wallet, which only supports the generation of 12-digit mnemonics. Therefore, OneKey Lite can only backup 12-word mnemonics, and does not support backup of 24-word mnemonics.

      @CryptoDad, Thanks for the good work. it seems the OneKey lite works the same way as Tangem wallet. am i right or i got it wrong?

    • @CryptoDad
      @CryptoDad  Год назад

      @@ericboaz9631 Yes, they both use the RFD signal. But you can’t really authorize transactions with the Onekey light. It’s simply a back up device, whereas the Tangem card is a full fledged wallet.

    Hi All, one question. Is it better/cheaper to swap cryptos in One Key software or send the crypto to an exchange and then swap it?

    Hi, really informative videos, great effort and appreciate your hard work. If you were to suggest 1 hardware wallet as a replacement to ledger which one would be your top pick? Would be nice to know!

    • @CryptoDad
      @CryptoDad  Год назад +2

      Top pick for ledger be replacement would be Trezor T. But it does not support all of the cryptos that the Ledger does. But for most basic crypto, you’d you be golden.

    • @supernova055
      @supernova055 Год назад

      Thanks for a super quick reply, really appreciate it. Safety and security wise ( open source) do you think Trezor T would be good replacement ? I’m not looking for a device with lot of coin support.

      @@CryptoDad hi Rex great tutorial, I like your calm style. The Trezor seems not to be so well protected, see the channel unciphered for the reason, if you like, they did an analysis about it.
      I have question, could you do a tutorial or do you already have one, for a personal (preferable offlline) portfolio overview ?
      The onekey app is real scarce regarding usability. If you didn't know, that you have one coin you'd foget about it :)

    Do any of the wallets support a debt card, or something?
    ThanQ for your time & information. 😊

    • @CryptoDad
      @CryptoDad  Год назад +2

      If your intention is to somehow remain anonymous when using crypto and still be able to cash out, then using a debit card would be the best way as long as it's one of those prepaid debit cards. But unfortunately to connect your debit card to any 3rd party payment processor, you'll most likely have to go through KYC to make it happen. And so you're kind of dead in the water trying to remain anonymous.
      So most wallets like Ledger allow you to buy and sell crypto from within their app. But you have to connect to a third party payment processor in order to do this. Some of these 3rd party payment processors accept debit cards, some do not. But pretty much all of them now require KYC just to get signed up for their services.

    Can you restore by using a seed phrase you got from a hot wallet?

    • @CryptoDad
      @CryptoDad  10 месяцев назад

      That's not a good idea when you're using a hardware wallet. When you're setting up a hardware wallet, you should only use a seed phrase from a previous hardware wallet. Importing a seed phrase from a hot wallet into a hardware wallet, basically overrides the security of the device.

      I recently did a video on the Keystone wallet, which is one of the most popular air-gapped wallets: ruclips.net/video/CGatnPBdWlI/видео.html
      Air-gapped wallets are more secure, but more difficult to use, so there's a bit of a trade off. For most people, it doesn't matter how secure the wallet is. If you can't figure out how to use it, it's pretty much useless to you.
