- WORLD FAMOUS and enduring Vangelis (born Evangelos Odysseus Papathanassiou), is a Greek composer and performer who works almost exclusively with electronic instruments. Vangelis is probably most well know for his 'Chariots of Fire' and 'Blade Runner' soundtracks or for the tracks provided in "Cosmos: A Personal Voyage," a thirteen-part television series written by Carl Sagan that included music by Vangelis, and is my #1 favorite composer of all time.
Antarctica is the soundtrack to the film 'Nankyoku Monogatari' by Koreyoshi Kurahara, released in 1983. For years, the soundtrack album was only available in Japan, popping up in other countries as a rare and expensive import, when in 1988 Polydor finally decided to release the album worldwide.

Vangelis, einer der ganz Grossen in diesem Genre der Musik......LG
One day I will visit and live in Antartica...and I may come back to watch this video and comment on it...beautiful Vangelis as always...
Kellemes muzsika,gyönyörű képek kíséretében!
Such tranquil beauty. I have a friend originally from southern Chile and through her learned to better appreciate this fasinating place. I thought it was cool how one can hear a simulated ship horn at 1:10 -- assume that was by design. Another VERY nice video.
Vangelis is also one of my favorite composers and one of the greatest composers of our time. I had in my youth on the vocational school about his life and his music has held a presentation and became the school mark 1 ... lol ... is really true. Thank you my dear friend Ambriel, a wonderful video ... I give you the school mark 1 ... and thousand stars *************
Of course it is in my playlist, and thank you my dearest Annie for the feature in your channel! Much Love to you both, Andrew :)♥
Vangelis music is Divine. Thank you.
Gyönyörű muzsika és képek összhangban!!!
Absolutely and serenely beautiful. I love the work of Vangelis so this is a magical share, thank you.
beautiful beautiful, thump up.
Wonderful nature and music!
It amazes me the survival skills of animals that live in the surrounding ocean of subfreezing Antarctica like the orcas, blue whales, penguins (my favorites), albatross, terns and seals. Even more amazing is the tiny Himalayan Jumping Spider that lives continuously at altitudes around 22,000 feet on Mt. Everest and survives by feeding on stray insects that are blown up the mountainside from lower altitudes. Thank you for watching.
.
Thank you so much Andrew. Your compliments are always a joy to read. Vangelis is my #1 favorite composer above all others, followed by Ryan Farish, Bernward Koch, John Barry, Hans Zimmer, and so many others. Maybe in my next life I will be a musician as great as those mentioned and my musical instrument will be the piano. Much Love - AC

Video pour la protection de la Planète...
The last almost pure place on our planet
whoa, I was lost for 6 minutes in a frozen tundra of nature's harshness and beauty ;)
Beautiful, calm music, and amazing artwork by Mother Nature.
This video is added to our Channel.
Enjoy a peaceful day.
Mike W. and Brad
Thank you too for your beautiful compliment.
Merci !
❤
Tribute to my aunt whom passed away on November 7th..she was 85
Brrrr ... soooo cold ... must turn heaters on, brrr!
Thank you Annie, my favorites are the penguins but my favorite is the last picture of Sperm Whales sleeping.
Indeed, there are many amazing examples like those you mention. In northern Chile, there is a desert that receives just a trace of annual rainfall. Yet some vegetation & animals exist there because of massive fog banks that roll in off the Pacific. This provides just enough moisture to substan life. And then there are squirrels, one of the few creatures that have exceeded humans in worldwide population. They can live in a wide variety of climates. Hmm -- not sure why I know any of that - ha ha.
Came here to see Brazilians pointing out that the first cut was from a beer brand called Antarctica in Brazil, but I was a little disappointed with what I saw.

In one of my upcoming videos, you'll feel warmer. They'll be molten lava, volcanic ash, and pyroclastic flows from an exploding volcano, lol. Thanks APP!
