Ingrid Apgar and what a Great performance it was (I wasn't there personally to see it but I heard it was fantastic, NAiled every high note,went above and beyond, all while being under the weather.
She was awesome. I saw her in San Francisco near the end of the run there. Her hair flipping scene in Popular was totally unique and had everyone dying of laughter. :) And I admit it. I didn't recognize her as Glinda at the stage door either. Heh.
Aww she's adorable. Totally perfect to play Glinda :) I wish in London the audience was more enthusiastic... It's not like they don't applaud but standing ovations don't really happen so even though I love the show, it would be awkward to be the one person standing and screaming.... Sigh.
If anyone has good footage of Ally singing "Popular" in the play "Wicked" please contact me. I will pay $100 for the full song and a good copy. There used to be one on YT but it was removed. It just brings me a smile.
