I understand why it happens now. Is thier a kit that eliminates this issue? Sorta. like hydraulic lifters or rockers. Never need to adjust your valves again. Car is looking great
Volkswagenplanet nothing that I’m aware of that eliminates the problem... just like anything, the parts you use make the difference. Old, cheap parts will cause more issues.
I like this video entry footage. Great Job on the lesson for the equalizing of the carbs. Nice Shout Out to GoodOldMike. Have a great 4th and the weekend too. BigW:-)
It's hot as hell! My nuts are sweaty too! Nice job explaining what Mike was tiring to explain! =) Hey man all joking aside I hope you are doing ok brother. Life can be a real kick in the nuts sometimes. I hope you have a better tomorrow! =)
Good vid brother... keep it up I know that heat is a killer. Keeping focused with personal crap happening makes it more of a challenge but you have my support brother!!!
Volkswagen Fetish I’ve never been one to explain in only correct terminology, I like making sense of what I say.... if that makes sense lol Enjoy pool time brother! Miss y’all!
Oh man I hope things work out and get better soon for you man. I've had my own problems this year and its really sucked. All we can do is keep going! I wanted to add that VW engines tend to have a lot of vibration and even more while driving this can also knock your carbs out of sync. It's a good idea to check linkage and butterflies on the duals before driving. I've had a couple oh chit moments with mine already lol. Great vid man!🤙
Josh Cloutier excellent point dude, thanks for chining in! Things will always get better, life is nothing but ups and downs.... getting through them is what matters. Honestly the VW community is so awesome, it’s amazing how well their friendships help outside of the vehicles.... most are just good, honest, loyal people.
@@VWJawbreaker 100% man! Of course in any bunch there are always a few bad ones but my experience has been most VW people are just good down to earth folks. I dont believe there is another community like it. At least that I've found.
Hang in there under stand life challenges wish I could say it get better with age , but one does grow use to it. Question what about air fuel mixture ?? I just pick up a AFR guage and 02 sensor for my engine run test stand . Do you try to stay more on the rich side verse lean. I know if i were in your area at 105F i would want to drop another 100lbs to lean out so i could deal with your temps. In the 80's up here. It's been a cold year in Iowa ..
Dan Love thanks buddy, I definitely know that life has its ups and downs. With an AR meter you can dial it in really nicely and get it perfect if you take your time, without one you’d want to error to the side of rich so it doesn’t run hot.
the junk shop it really all depends on if you’re comfortable adjusting dual carbs or if you want just a single carb. You can run dual 40’s or dual 34’s. For a single dual carb, the empi 38 egas is the best I’ve used in a long time.
@@VWJawbreaker adjusting is no problem I'm curious on driveability mpg is not a concern but dont want to go overkill if its not gonna be noticeable and low end torque would be preferred over top end power as it will see light offroad use
the junk shop you could go with either the dual 34 ITC’s for dual 40’s. The 34’s are amazing little carbs that will definitely help throughout the entire power band and when dialed in will get you better mpg also.
@@VWJawbreaker ok thanks that's the info i was lookin for now just trial and error i love the air cooled motors but future holds a ej22 swap nothin fancy just more availability for parts and better highway use thanks for your help.

Big W Adventures thank you sir! Hope you both have a happy 4th and a wonderful weekend!
can you make a video on how to sync three carbs? :)
VW Life I had an old Kawasaki motorcycle that had 4 carbs.... that was fun lol

Stay hydrated and cool man, keep up the nice work on Rusty.

JW Classic VW I appreciate you brother! You stay hydrated and cool over there as well!
Thank you for braving the heat to make us laugh!
Volkswagen Fetish hey, I never said exactly what I was good at 😂

Josh Cloutier you are absolutely 100% correct and I’ve also yet to find another group of people like the VW group.

I live in Florida along with "Jawbreaker" It literally is low to mid 90's EVERYDAY with near 70% humidity for June, July, Aug, Sep...long wet summer.
What would you recommend on a 1641cc dual port a single carb or a dual weber setup it will be a daily 74 baja bug
