I began toribash in 2016, then quit in 2018 because of boredom. Because I was curious I decided to have a little blast of nostalgia and this helped me get back into the game. Thanks man.
I've tried free running over the years, I've lost count of how many. I've come close to having a good run a few times but it's never been consistent. This is a good tutorial, straight after watching it I got several runs that were better than all my others. Thank you for making a series that helps players like me learn to play Toribash the way we want. At some point, I hope to be able to run nicely and consistently and make a replay I'm happy with.
I have the game for 2 days and have about 16 hours, along with my friend and this really helped me out. Ive learned some cool stuff as well. I love this game so far
Single player > spar/mas/parkour > repeat, all day every day Or Favorite Game mode, all day everyday Openers really help you when playing, but take your time to figure out how to move your tori. Make your own moves in your head, then take time to figure out how to do it in game. Create your own style, after learning how to move and flow put it in your own style. Everything will come together, don’t try to do things fast it’ll come.
Hey man just wanted to say thanks for these videos, I have been inactive for a long time but would like to start making some replays. This tutorial was awesome. If you ever want to, some more tutorials or even some gameplay where you walk through how you change your joints would be great to watch
Starting out (3 yrs in) I fought uke alot and did alot of touch challenge. I also stuck to 30 or 50 frames per turn as thats what many versus modes are in, so I aimed to learn how the body moved that way . enjoyed the flow and momentum section alot.
Im pretty late to the video, but thank you so much for this tutorial. I started this game in 2013 or so and quit because young, dumb and short attention span.. but now I've been practicing and this game is really fun and rewarding! SUBBED ty
i felt bad for u :( now one is playing the game but its soo cool!!! i made my tori take another tori head off and then BOOM! i won :D your the best game DEVELOPER!!! KEEP YOUR GAME UP!! man u so awesome :D
Can you elaborate/assist with maintaining balance and staying grounded when throwing and taking shots? all my replays turn into weird bounce fights with both fighters flipping around and never reaching each other after initial contact.
I watched only 15 seconds of this and then surprised myself In feeplay. Pretty crazy because I'm very new to tricking and kind of did well atleast in my book. If you want the replay I could show you them I guess...
Well, I think there are three types of people who play this game, the first type is the people who play this game online (fighting category), the second type is the people who play it offline (art/replay category), and the last one is the combination of those. I'm the first type of player though, so I guess I don't really care about doing something that looks good, I know people like doing something cool, and TBH I was trying my best to do just that, I just can't, but hey... People built different, and maybe I'm just not good with it. It doesn't mean that I'm done with the cool stuff, I mean if you really like that kind of stuff, just do it everyday. Maybe someday, you're effort will pay off, and for me, as long as I win a match, then it's okay... I'm just saying
imo competitive mods just require practice and being around good players that will actively give you tips, joining a competitive clan is also a good idea
easy little Tipp on how to be good at lenshu = make your feet look towards the enemy. because he can't hit your head but you can keep hitting him with your legs and go forward with your arms and hands ;)
am i the only one that has trouble login into the game site due to the username creation. it tells me I need my username to have numbers and letter so i test out so many usernames but none of them work.
this is more helpful than a tutorial for one specific thing as you actually learn more than just one move. you learn on how to stand, how to save falls and so on. for example: someone sees a tutorial for running and someone else sees this. who do you think will get better? of course this is nonsense since you would normally watch more videos if your really interested into this game than others. I enjoy spar, parkour, tricking, mma and MAS much more than (no offense) tryhardy modes => aikido, lenshu, mushu etc... I like to look cool and not get carried away by easier modes (the key to swexx and largekilla stuff, is to always have replay making and modes like sparring and parkour in your target range). It's good to still play a few modes like lenshu and aikido as it's something like boardgames for actual real life boxers (it makes you understand on how to act in extremely complicated situations and also gives you more feeling for the -30.00 gravity and balance of your tori). if anyone wants to play with me sometime, here's my name in toribash: ricopaxton
even if you got that "freedom" with how your tori moves, still, it is too much time and effort to get good at anything in this game. I mean, I got 12hrs on this game, I understand what the joints do, I can pretty much see and comprehend how you move, but still, I can't recover from anything, I can't stand up straight or do any meaningful moves. I'd have to sink hundreds of hours practicing for things to be consistent and have experience. And that is what kills it for me, I don't have time to sink into this game and it kinda sucks.
EVERYTHING I DO IN THE VIDEO IS ON -30 GRAVITY ON DEFAULT TORI'S.
Evolution Toribash .
Boi i dont need to know what flow is >:0 im an ANIMATOR :D
@@SlippyVR_ I havent played toribash in one and a half years wtf

Old but perfect video. Very new, started playing 2018 - but came back today
favorite modes are boxing and aikido, brown belt :D
Great tutorial! A lot of elder players don't touch up on this as much to newer players, this is extremely helpful.
Yeah, 4/5 years waiting for a video like this :D
Awesome job!

Nice job on this :)
in my opinion, toribash is a fun a great game but its difficult but its great because toribash is a game where you actually got to learn how to play
Just played about two hrs of this game just to execute a roundhouse head kick. Had no idea what I was doing, but I'd do it again.
really interesting one
keep up the great content mate 👍

I have a lot of questions to mr. Hampa.
But first of all, when will TBN actually be released? I'm fine with Jan 1, 2021

How do you instantly play a replay after you finish but have spare time?
press R?
What people besides me prob need is no grab climbing, or on the other hand how to be good at lenshu and competative mods.
imo competitive mods just require practice and being around good players that will actively give you tips, joining a competitive clan is also a good idea
