Players who rely too much on their athleticism are not going to be great for long. Such as Westbrook, he needs to improve other aspects of his game as he approaches his early 30s.
That team makes me think of the current Nets. An insane ball handler (Iverson/Kyrie) with an insane shooter (Melo/KD). Unfortunately Iverson wasn’t in his prime anymore, you can tell he was half as fast as he was with the Sixers, that’s why they got swiped by the lakers in the playoffs

However, they got absolutely tossed in a sweep by Kobe and the Lakers in the first round of the playoffs in '08. Testament to the greatness of Kobe.
I remember when they made this trade , I thought Melo and AI were gonna work together and the chemistry was gonna be there , but then AI got traded to Detroit for Chauncey Billups , I seriously thought that they would play like another 2,3 seasons but it didn’t work how it was suppose to be
Absolutely LOVED the time when AI was here...I tried to watch every game he played...he was balls-out every second he was on the floor, but Melo...Melo broke my heart.

joseph Henry If JR embraced the role of a spot-up shooter like he always should’ve with that perfect shooting form and AI and Melo could learn to work together, that team could’ve won at least one ring. Those are heavy ifs tho

It would've been a disservice to his game.. and it wasn't that they couldn't work together they tried just their game didnt match. Too many iso players, adding billups made them a team instead of a bunch of talented individuals
