In fact the sentences -- He works badly. His work is bad. ...do *not* mean the same thing in English. He works badly means that the act of working is bad. His work is bad means that the outcome of his work is bad. So a lazy worker who produces shit work would be a bad worker whose work is bad.

The adjective mauvaise is placed before and after the noun. It must be a rule that follow that I would like to know. Merci pour votre lesson.
