Besides super forms were weird in the archie comics. Tails' super form was called turbo tails for some reason, and there was the whole "Ultra" Sonic form instead of hyper sonic. Besides Sega in general is weird about non male Hedgehogs getting super forms. Apparently it was a rule that only male Hedgehog could canonically have Super Forms. In the original release of Sonic 3& Knuckles Tails could only go "Super" with the Super emeralds, which they ended up retconning and changing in Sonic Origins and gave him a regular Super and Hyper form. But for whatever reason In Sonic Superstars Sonic is the only one who goes Super. Everyone else just gets "Super Powered".
