Hello I’m from the Netherlands and in 2019 me, my husband and my two daughters went out on holidays to Florida.
Since I could not bring big perfume bottles in the airplane I decided to pack the 3 sample packs ordered from Jacques Fath just the week before.
12 different scents should be enough to cover the two weeks in Florida.
So while we where there, I tried first the fresh ones like Green water and Curaçao Bay. It was so hot and humid, nothing I was used to in the Netherlands, which has a very calm climate in summer. Nothing like the crazy hot that I found myself in there in the marshes of Florida LOL! So after a day reptile hunting (my husband is a well known wildlife photographer) we came back to the motel, I changed my clothes for a T-shirt and went to bed.
The next day I woke up and prepared for breakfast. I was rummaging through my clothes in the closet and this beautiful whiff of delightfulness reached my nose.
It was sweet uplifting and woody. Very potent and intoxicating.
The day before I blindly sprayed on one of the little bottles, not paying attention to which scent it was. I guess i was in a hurry to go out.
So frantically I sniffed the little bottles one by one. Why didn’t i smell this yesterday?? And finally I recognised the scent as I smelled the little bottle, it said
L'Oree du Bois. On my clothes it transformed to the most wonderfull woody, floral, ambery scent I had ever smelled. As soon a I came home I bought a full bottle and it is amazing.
Here I wear it in the autumn, when the leaves are starting to fall, it’s almost the same smell. Sweet falling leaves. I love it! And every time I spray this on, it reminds me of Miami and the Everglades. Joy!
Bel Ambre and Red shoes are favourites as well. Smooth amber and zesty grapefruit. All are great performers and worth the money.
So Bel Ambre would be my choice.
Thank you for reading my little story🙂

I'm in tailoring business and I know well Jacques Fath as fashion designer, and some of the old , and the new fragrances.
Le Loden wear while working with clients , classy one. Fath Pour L'Homme is nice casual fragrance I enjoy a lot.
Loden is actually a fabric, back in the days considered to be a peasant's clothes in Germany. Nowadays it's actually pretty expensive to make, and work with. Traditionally it's dark green color.
I'm sure the name Le Loden has to do with the fact, Jacques Fath were famous with its top of the line quality trenches made from Loden. It's what they made themselves known for, and actually the epitome of a trench coats are theirs . Simply the best! Much later Burberry actually copied blatantly most of Jacques Fath trenches design's from the 50s and 60s .
Velours Boise speaks to me the most, because of the Mulled Wine.
    Thanks for the draw.
Both Maryland and Virginia, rarely Paris France

Jacques Fath is a legendary fragrance house with so much history. I haven't tried any of them, but all 3 of these sound amazing. I think I would like to win Tempete De Autonme the most because of the lactonic and gourmand qualities as well as the fizzy and airy features. I am from Ohio, USA.

Jacques Fath Green Water is a classic my dad wears for as far as I can remember. I wear Curacao Bay when I’m on vacation, and I mean only when I’m on vacation. It has the vacation vibe, tropical weather, and my happy memories in Santorini Greece .You could say Jacques Fath is part of the family.Thanks.
Velours Boisé has whiskey, it's spicy I'm in

Hello Sébastien. I've been struggling with depression and lately have been trying out fragrances that remind me of goodntimes I have had in my past, and The Tempete d'Automne sounds likenwhennI was in Iran, we had this massive yard, where we had lost of trees and in Autumn, we would make a small fire and set there at nights and have fun. Friends would bring persian food with lots of spices and herbs, cilantro, Parsley, Basil, etc. So this one really reminded.me of the very rare good memories I have that is keeping me on my feet and battle depression and Anxiety. Anyways, thanks for all the videos. I would not have gotten into fragrances if it wasn't because of you. Stay safe, best wishes from Canada 🇨🇦

I've tried all of them and the one I liked the most was Velours boise. On my skin it really got warm and a bit ambery and boozy. But from all their fragrances I think I like best Vers le Sud and Le loden.
    Thank you for the video!

I’d love to have Velours Boisé because immortel is one of my favorite notes on a fragrance !
I have also recently regained my sense of smell after a long fight with Covid and it’s side effect !
I’ve come to deeply appreciate , and value the ability to enjoy smelling my frags .
Having this fragrance will be an olfactory celebration for me .

Hello, Sebastian! Thank you for such an amazing another review!!!
I have never had or tried any perfume from the Jacques Fath House.
But I would like to try though )
I like Velours Boise as it is woody and spicy with some boozy accord. It sounds for me very delicious!
But I think I would prefer the most the Bel Ambre ( Beautiful Amber) as I love Amber and Orris notes)))!!!!! It sounds very warm and spicy, as I like!!

Thank you Sebastian for another great video, I had a chance to try couple of fragrances from Jacques Fath and were really impressed with the quality. Bel Ambre is indeed a beautiful combination, warm amber with powdery iris nuances, instantly were one of my favorites. Now I want to try Velours Boisé, hot wine sounds lovely. Wish Jacques Fath would be more available here in EU, Lithuania. Definitely would love to own a bottle of Bel Ambre. Cheers

I have not heard of Jacque Fath before! I am excited to research and see his fashions of yore. Tempête D'Automne sounds positively drool worthy and I would be so happy to add it to my small but growing collection. I am positively addicted to anything Tonka bean and the combo of Tonka with milk, cinnamon and mandarin! plus the woody and leather notes! Oh my. That just sounds like coziness in liquid form. Trust me, cozy never goes out of fashion in Portland, Oregon.

I'm someone who really enjoys spicy, woody scents and so have to admit they all sound beautiful but the one that stood out to me was Velours Boise which would be my first choice to try and because I absolutely love spicy mulled wine. I'm in the UK. I haven't tried any fragrances from this house but have often come across their Fath de Fath from 1953 when fragrance researching which intrigues me as a vintage scent. I must admit I didn't know about this brand at all. I haven't tried any of their offerings. I really like your review and how these three fragrances sound. I like and agree that best fragrances are those that will evoke memories of a place or something that happed to you. These really are the best. And there is nothing more transportiative than a familiar scent. Out of the three I think I would prefer Tempere D'Automne. This was a very good video because of displaying a house that is undertalked about. I have not experienced much from the house, except Jacques Fath Pour Homme (1998). That fragrance is fantastic; definitely signature scent-worthy, IMHO.
Amber is my favorite fragrance note, so I definitely wouldn't mind getting my nose on that warm, spicy, gooey Bel Ambre. I would like to see what juniper berries and pepper can do with the amber, as I like both in fragrances.

Tempete D’automne sounds like the perfect fall weather magical comfort in a bottle. I love milky notes in fragrances to balance out the warm and spices. Autumn airiness in fragrances is magical because it’s so rich with color and winds of the changing season. 8 months late lol. I have Velours Boise and Bel Ambre, those are my 2 favorites. I live in Southern Montana and because its cold 8 months out of the year those 2 get a lot of use.

To me, Tempête D’Automne seems like the most alluring fragrance mentioned, especially when the fizzing experience was mentioned; In my childhood, my uncle used to wear bold colognes and lavender essential oils that sizzled in my throat and nose in the best way possible, and I only remembered having some good experiences having him around during the fall season when Disney was a place wonder to me. Especially with Florida being a half-and-half, storm-and-sunshine state, it really sounds like “home” to me, haha.
I enjoyed that this review set up different times/moments within the fall season depending on the fragrance. Gives ideas of how versatile Jacques Fath’s fragrances can be.
I’d love to have this fragrance in my collection for sure, without a doubt. I don’t have anything like it, as far as the description that’s been mentioned, so maybe it’ll become a staple of mine.
    Commenting from Florida.

I've never heard of this house before. As always you're doing wonderful reviews. Too good actually, because I wouldn't know which one to pick. The most interesting to me according to your review would be Bel Ambre and Tempete d'automne but again, I have no idea which one to pick 😄 one of the two. And why... they both sound great. Thanks Sebastian to make it hard to choose 😘

Great review and great fragrances for as long as the cold stays. So far I only tried Le Loden and added it to my collection. These three are promising and pictures come to my mind about Xmas when you describe Velours Boisé. But I’ll go for winning the Bel Ambre; Amber is one of my favorite notes plus i love Cecile’s work! From Belgium.

Another house that I’ve never heard of. I was debating between Bel Amber vs Tempête d’Automne but I just bought a few Amber fragrances so I will have to go with Tempête d’Automne since lactonic sounds really nice.
Also off topic, I hope you review Dior Tobacolor soon since it just came out and many has good things to any about it!!!

Luca Maffei knows well how to do both classy and masculine fragrances .Bois Mystique Houbigant is prime example of woody one , Cologne Intense is a must have for me too.
Jacques Fath i know for their classic Green Water. Every barber knows it well. Honestly I was scared, when they renewed the brand. I thought my beloved Green Water would be ruined, but it’s pretty close to the original to be honest. The only difference is in the vintage one there is more mint. Brought my huge 200ml bottle in Germany for €180.
Velours Boisé is appealing to me, because of the mix of spices and boozy notes.
    Thanks Sebastian
