The Wal Mart here has NONE. The store and the Dept. Manager of Toys HATE Hot Wheels collectors. Seriously. It's the scalpers that trash the aisles, destroy dumpbins, and dump pallets digging for cases. So items that can be selectively ordered they don't do it. How do I know this? I was a manager there for 10 years. Not toys, but I sat in on the meetings. I no longer work there but the hatred for collectors is strong here. Target now REFUSES to check for customers. That's not a surprise. They haven't done that in a while. In a lot of stores, has this happened to you? You: Excuse me but do you have more Hot Wheels in the back by chance? Clerk: No that's all we have right now. Reality: 2-4 cases in back while shelf sits 3/4 empty. Why: Because scalpers have taken cases opened them in secluded areas of the store(don't scoff, I've found them)there they either dump the cases in a cart, taking what they want, or dump them on the ground. Again taking only what they want. I tried to avoid this by seeing if I could order a case through the store. WM, Target, Shopko, and the closed Toys R Us all said No. We did that for a bit, but then we would order the cases and people would only take the cars they wanted. Leaving 30-60 cars. There's only 72 in a case. So the "collectors" would only grab the Super TREASURE Hunt cars, and the one's people would pay $5-10 for. The "fantasy" cars they'd leave. Then stores had barrels of the cars no one wanted. So another strike against Hot Wheels collectors. It's sad but stores are sick of it. The profit margin isn't huge on a $0.99 toy. Not like a 65% mark-up on items. So are these stores going to invest more time in a area that has a low profit margin, has ended in fights between "grown" men(ha grown), causes employees to have to dedicate even more time cleaning up after people digging for what eBay is getting the most $$ for, and dealing with obnoxious brats who have a fit when they aren't allowed to open a new case of Hot Wheels. It's actually pathetic. Seeing a 35-50 year old screaming I WANT MY HOT WHEELS. This is a store, GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE THE CASE. Go to a Wal-Mart between 9pm-12am, and camp out near the toy area. You'll see these creepers. They start by ripping through the aisle. From one end to the other, sometimes back again...just in case. The entire time they are looking over their shoulder. For other scalpers, wait collectors, or the Holy Grail...an employee bringing out a pallet of merchandise with cases of Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Auto World, Johnny Lightning, Hot Wheels Retro Entertainment, etc. The scalper will then lay claim to the ENTIRE pallet. IT'S MINE, ALL OF IT. They will start grabbing cases with ZERO regard for other customers, or safety just to get ALL the cases. People have had pallets dump because these idiots do this. I've seen them grabbing off a moving pallet, dumping the rest of the products everywhere. Because they were told NO. This also goes on with Funko Pops big time. It used to happen with Star Wars, but now that stuff, a lot of it is ped warming. Point is, there are so many people that wont see this set. Look at Japan Historics on eBay. The prices. It's nuts. Now these are higher priced. Not the $0.99. There are $5.99+. But paying $30-$150 for a single car/toy, that's NUTS.
I would love for Hot wheels to do a version of the #62 '91 Mazda Rx-7 IMSA GTO. I wouldn't mind them doing some Daytona prototypes either. That would make my smart mark heart warm.
How can I stay updated on any hot wheels cars worth getting. I can never tell when any good ones come out because most of them in stores are just generic ones and in every store theres always a ton of them so it would take forever to look through every single car every time I went to the store
I recently got the 962, Corvette, and the Shelby. However, they should have used the Ford GT40 instead of the new GT so that it fits the set better. I have the new GT race car in the form of the regular Hot Wheels.
I think the easiest set to find is the Hot Wheels Forza Motorsport collection, at my local Shop Rite they have the entire set. The cars I want to get are the Hot Wheels Christine 1958 Plymouth Fury and the Greenlight Once Upon A Time Emma Swan Volkswagen Beetle and the Greenlight Once Upon A Time Storybrooke Sheriff department Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor
Interesting they went with the #18 787b instead of the #55, but I honestly don't mind. One of the worst, if not *the* worst, car to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans when compared to the rest of its grid and how uncompetitive it was relatively-speaking, but still a neat and noteworthy car nonetheless. Plus, you can't hate on Dorito power. And yes, this is a top contender for the best Hot Wheels set.
Why did they have to make the american race cars have them stupid ass big wheels on the back😥The prototypes look great with the normal sized wheels. I just finished the 50th anniversary set of ten with the gasser and camaro the other day.
I am proud to own the GT, Shelby and Corvette..........................Loose..................Not from this set............................I''m just seeking for attention...............and you know it
*99 Red Baloons plays while driving down the backstrech at Special Stage Rt 11*
David Land Special Stage Rt. 11 sucked on GT3 the GT1 variant was way better
Rotary engines are one of my fav GO MAZDA
I'm looking for that 787b now. Haven't bought a hot wheels in forever but I want that Mazda!

That ford gt is very nice
Danm! I think you hot it right on the money! That Mazda LeMans 797 b series race car is beautiful!😎👍definetly hard to find!
My Walmart in iowa has all of them, they seem to have more of the Daytona then any others.

I loved hot wheels as a kid growing up

Japanese historics 2 are my favorite car culture set so far.
Now I hope I can find this beauty in the UK 😍😍
Can you do wave 8 of nascar authentics plz?
hi David love your videos
That other logo on the Shelby Daytona is for Autolite
Do you know what is the logo on the Corvette?
The shelby NEVER raced with Eagles. Goodyear's yes but Eagles came out in the 1980's
How can I stay updated on any hot wheels cars worth getting. I can never tell when any good ones come out because most of them in stores are just generic ones and in every store theres always a ton of them so it would take forever to look through every single car every time I went to the store
Hot water, then cold water should fix that warped wing on the 787b.
I didn't know the Mazda raced in the 2016 24 hours of Le Mans
my favorite Shelley cobra Daytona
Hotwheels have an Advan license/partnership hence the advan livery rather than rothmans or any of the other more popular 962 liveries
the reason the daytona is so goofy is because its an older cast designed to work on hotwheels track specifically loops
But do hot wheels have hot wheels?
What In Carnation? *top 10 questions science can still not answer*

Cool set but the original Japan Historics is still my favorite
I would like Shelby Daytona and Ford GTLM
I think that these cars are smell like Dollar General
I actually got one of those knockoff Ford GT's, it's orange got it about a month ago I also got a 2015 3 corvette a few years ago
nascar authentics ?
