I think the fight themes are excluded somehow? We only have themes of quests or characters? Like I can't find the dragon fight theme or the fight song for Ghil.
Very generic for the most part. I get the feeling the composer didn't have much to work with and so we ended up with a serviceable but uninspired soundtrack. It has that movie soundtrack quality that is fine in the moment but you can't recall once you leave the cinema. Among other things veilguard seems to lack any sort of style or flair. Think back to origins and inquisition. I'm sure you can recall their main themes and several songs that incorporated them. Even the music used for the fight in haven in inquisition conveyed more emotion and that was a one off combat track. And iirc each dragon had a different song, or at least a variation of a song.
@@ffffdsd Veilguard is way too synthetic sounding, music that'll probably fit a whole different game. @@moonwatcher99 There's just a certain incongruency when modern instruments are incorporated into dark-age medieval fantasy. The etherealness like in LotR would've been a better model to convey the sense of magic than modern synths.

Does anyone know which theme plays during that fight where Harding unlocks her detonate ability? Been trying to find it.
5:11 This part has Hunger Games vibes
7 track ia very cool
There's some tracks that are goodm not because they fit the game, but because they are genuinely good on their own. I wish they brought back one of the other composers from the first three games, hell Morris would've been perfect for this entry.
Bummed that they ignored Solas' theme from Trespasser.
Second one is fire but there isn't really the same vibe like inquisition i literally can remember the ost but in this game its not the same i barely can register the ost in this game
Some of the synthetic instruments are just jarring. Like some mix of modern sci-fi crammed into uppity high-fantasy. Blegh.
@@amn7319 Exactly my thoughts. Remind me more of mass effect than dragon age :/
I mean, they kind of do fit with Tevinter. Magic is basically the Thedas version of technology, and Tevinter is the only place in Thedas that uses it so freely for so many everyday applications.
@@moonwatcher99 There's just a certain incongruency when modern instruments are incorporated into dark-age medieval fantasy. The etherealness like in LotR would've been a better model to convey the sense of magic than modern synths.
@@amn7319 I can maybe see it, but the soundtrack doesn't really jar me that much. Truthfully I was more focused on the hammer dulcimer than the background synth elements. Either way, since Tevinter is supposed to be the most advanced culture in Thedas, especially with regard to magic use, it doesn't really bother me that much.
26:06 kickin
🍷🧐❤️
Wth! How did u get full OST under 24 hours of release of DAV?
@@Anna.K.. it should be in the game files
Weirdly Danny Elfman sounding
Yeah... especially "Where The Dead Must Go" like... I have never heard this kind of Elfman sound in any Dragon Age game before and it's honestly super jarring? Coming from Trevor Morris to this? Like what is this, alice in wonderland??
@@gingko_maple its bc it emmrich's theme who might as well could be a Tim Burton character so its on purpose
@@katsudon1237 But still... it sounds like a song from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It's way too whimsical and such an odd tone to have for a necromancer.
@@gingko_maple i thought it fit perfectly with the scene and with emmrich. He is a little bit whimsical
I guess the ost from the bad ending isn’t included in the album
Hans Zimmer, what have you gotten yourself into...
The only excellent people behind this project, Hans Zimmer never misses.
@@PrizrakAnims Zimmer makes only main theme, the rest ost was made by Lorne Balfe
@@igorartemov5950 I really like Balfe to he is his 'student if we can say so though
This makes me want to learn how to mod and use all the music from the old games instead of this soundtrack. I even dislike the main theme
Only good thing about this game is this epic ost.
Who cares about "natural hair"? i deal with it in real life xD am good if my champion survives rain with a clean hairdo
Comparing it to the fantastical soundtracks of Morris and Inon Zur, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is generic as hell. What happened?
I mean... It's a good music but not for a medieval fantasy. What if Hans Zimmer thought he was doing soundtrack for Mass Effect?
I think its the weakest sound track out of all the games by quite a margin to be honest. Don't think it is very good
ehhh... it sounds really generic :(
@herkpoirot6100 Yup. Inquisition made you feel and there were themes.
Я надеюсь никто из вашей секты больше не притронется к Dragon age. Вам явно не интересна эта вселенная прошу создайте свою и творите там. А нашу любимую Dragon age отдайте тем кто заинтересован в ней
They even fucked up soundtrack.... If only trevor morris was here
Bruh, I find even the music bad... my personal opinion. Only the Love and Ashes is nice !
Dreadful score. Brings the game down at almost every turn.
Ich find es soooo schade. Der soundtrack von Teil 1-3 war so episch und toll. Find den Soundtrack von the veil guard eine absolute Katastrophe 😢 passt absolut nicht 😢
Just like in Concord, Soundtrack and optimisation are the only two things in this game which were made by competitive people.
@@devastatorkvadat The way Concord lives rent free in people’s heads you’d think it personally went to their house, took a dump on their front doorstep, shot their dog and had an affair with their wives.
I kinda like some of the armors too
Well, locations are beautiful too, i love Trevizo and Minratos, especially night Minratos
Such a beautiful soundtrack for such a stupid and lazy made game :( What a waste of talent :(
A truly amazing Hans Zimmer score wasted on a corpo HR ass game
If you're just listenning the BO and erase all this woke delirium from it, it could have been a good game
Dragon age has always been woke. Why are you such a snowflake about it? Do fictional gay people mean that much to you? Why does fake people intimidate you so much?
@@theelderworm9134AS GAY I don’t care about the No Binary culture or this fake inclusion. The old dragon age Were more natural to introduce gay character 😢
Another reason why this game is a flop
