The cue about the big toe is a game changer for me. If I don’t think about pushing from my big toe, I feel my hamstrings engage much more than my glutes. The only way I can get my glutes to engage more than my hamstrings is if I think about pushing from that big toe. This is so helpful. Thank you!
Cool video. Suggestion: make a video in the future about common ab imbalances. For instance, overdeveloped/strong right side rectus abdominals and underdeveloped left rectus abdominals. Personally, it seems my entire right ab wall is more developed than my left 🤔
Can make some videos in the future with people already shown sway back posture doing exercise like this, looking forward to see how you deal with the compensation during the session, cuz it’s always easy to compensate for person already in problems ❤
I have back pain when I don't keep my quads and hamstrings, abdominal muscles adductor and abductors all evenly strong, when one muscle group is weak or another is too strong it forces my pelvis out of property alignment giving me lower back pain
Is there a payment plan for the early bird? I really would love to do the program, but I would need a payment plan. Also what time are the live classes going to be held? That's really important to be.
Yes, there is: www.conorharris.com/offers/rrHw3jY2 As for the times, they will be held at 10 am PST Tuesday and Thursday. But everything is recorded and shared the same day and you’ll have indefinite access to all materials :)
@conorharris 10am for how long? I may have to rearrange my work schedule to make the live ones because I learn SO much better in a live class (better accountability).
Conor - my right foot is flat and my right toe doesn’t have good contact with the ground. The ball of the toe is elevated and the toe is too mobile. This has weakened my glute as my toe can’t ’push off very well’. What can I do ?
When I squat it's just lumbar spine doing the work, I don't think I have "athletic" glutes, I naturally don't use my heel when walking which is annoying
ive been doing balance board work to activate and develop my whole core, plus the typical planks and birddogs etc. it has been very useful in my back pain journey. I also enjoy the benefits of much better balance

@@manas6501 That's interesting, my right eye has an astigmatism with the eyelid more droopy than the left. Surely this doesn't affect your whole body posture? My right side is stronger
I keep having back pain from deadlifts and squats. My form is good and I've tried different things. I started to concentrate on my glutes during squats and deadlifts exercises and I don't think they are activating which might be leading to the back pain. Do you have some exercises that could help with glute activation during squats or deadlifts?
You certainly know your shit Conny. If I had a lazy few bob prolly take that course all the gems gleaned from channels like yours, Neals, well meaning P.Ts on You tube. Like taking self defense class again in my youth who is the real grass hopper? Do I focus on the finger or the moon and all its heavenly glory? Bruce lee

Stick with Connor. I've had more successes with feldenkrais and Alexander technique and Connor than the standard physical therapist, biokineticist etc. It's a neural problem. Not a biomechanical problem in most cases.

Very interesting cuz 90% of videos on YT said to push with their heels in other to feel the glutes
None of them mentioned to push with their big toes
@ pushing with my heel only activates my hamstrings more!! Idk why that is 🤷🏻♀️
@@serisingh since when did you start to push with your big toe for glutes workout?
@ a few months ago, and I’ve seen more growth in these three months than in the past year or two with hip thrusts!
@@serisingh You mean, you do hip trust pushing with your toes instead of heals made you more gains in your glutes ?
bro fixed my life with this channel glad to see its growing amazingly if everyone saw this it would be a gamechanger
How long did it take?
Squat University won't be happy if they see this title
Conor Harris literally saving my a** 😄 best channel on youtube!
Wow half million subs, channel deserves more. Great work Conor
Precise indications to put the glutes in optimal condition. Big benefits for posture. Thanks, Conor

Yeah do that plz
I think that's probably very common especially now that u have drawn attention to it. I have same problem 😕
I have forward head posture and underdeveloped glutes. I think I know the problem now!
Got it. Thanks a tons for your time to make this clip, so practical 🎉❤
Glute meds are definitely a frequent issue, I get great relief from working them out
How do you do that?

Fact, I have right glute tight and hip higher than hip , the real cause is injury in big toe
Thank you so much for your information
Where are you located?
I have a situation that hasn't been properly diagnosed nor treated in 5 years...and I have gone to so many doctors.

Same problem for me....
How come strengthening my glutes and their use has immediately helped my knees?
I'd guess because the glutes are tied into your hip alignment, which has affect on your knees 😊
Alot of kneepain is due to weak glutes and hips.

Do you think about arching your back when you squat?
@@clintiacuone1703 I try to keep spine neutral, but near the bottom of the squat, I feel pressure in the lumbar spine
Broke my left big to several times and just can't get it back to pushing off and this have recurring and constant back and neck issues.
What do you think when people said that they starting to see results when they start to activate their glutes with exercices?
We have to start muscle imabalance correction excercises from top to bottom of body or bottom to top of body for different imbalanced muscles?
ive been doing balance board work to activate and develop my whole core, plus the typical planks and birddogs etc. it has been very useful in my back pain journey. I also enjoy the benefits of much better balance
Physio types would tend to say it all starts with the feet, so bottom up I would say
Middle out. From the hip/low back/core outwards

I have the dreaded menopause butt. After 4 years of Booty Barre and Pilates, Lockdown and menopause happened 😢
Time to get back to barre and Pilates! Never too late.
Butt, butt, butt, how could that be!?
wow the second image with the person with their butt "taken in" underneath their spine is just like me,,,,gosh

Glute bridges with pelvic tilted forward. When you go down, your lower back should touch the floor as well. Do this as warmup.
