i have the 6700 xt, my friend has the 3060ti. Both used, mine was 250, his was 310. Mine performs 5% better and has almost double the vram.. To be fair a lot of people are blind and only look at nvidia card. I convinced him to check out amd for his next upgrade
jus upgraded after 7 years from an rx 580 8gb to an rx 7700 XT , the rx 580 did me well
My friend gamed on his until 2021 I think we replaced it with a 6750XT I believe. But it got him through the shortage.

I'm surprised how I seen there's rx 580 vs gtx 1060 in 2024 video out of nowhere, but none of them shows their overclocked performance
RX590 even better at the same price but really hard to find.
BTW the xfx has kind of a funky fan curve. I would shoot for a different brand if possible.

I had mine since the very start of its life , lasted me a whole 6 and a half years , somehow died on me but its safe to say ill be displaying it in my bedroom like a museum ornament cos this thing got me through it all until i upgraded to a rtx 4070
even though u didn't actually record the benchmarks trough ur pc it was still better than when u actually record it trough your pc, those 30 more fps (60 in total) of video frames are so good

The RX 580 is a great esports GPU and if you're ok playing at 30 FPS (30fps was the goal way back in the day), you can still play some modern titles.
The only thing I don't like about buying used RX 580s is that a good majority of them are mined on so they might be overworked and subject to failure. Just have to do a bit more due diligence and check if they were overclocked/underclocked and kept cool before picking them up.
30 fps?? nah, 580 was made to compete with the 1060 6GB, meaning it aims for at least 60fps 1080p
@gonehollow99 oh you must be new to PC gaming then to not understand that 30fps was our playable target back in the day (I'm talking like well before the RX580 days when ATI was still it's own company)
With that in mind, the rx580 can certainly do 30fps on many modern titles but that's considered unplayable by most modern PC gamers (us old folks could gladly play at that fps as it probably reminds us of the good old days, haha)
@@mr.arocenastechRX580 8GB was made for 1080p60fps Low to Medium at the time of release, no matter how old you are or for how long you are or are not building pcs

Just saying that you can play modern titles on the RX 580 if you're ok playing at lower FPS (which some of us still consider playable) as I wouldn't expect the RX580 to get 60fps at 1080p on modern games.

Yeah you can buy an rx580 for way cheaper than 100$, also you have to be very lucky to get a 1080 for that price

Knew it 580 :) Has that minimum of 8gb vram which is enough for most people in 2024 (with exception of a few games)

I just bought two 1070 ti for 48 usd each. You can defenetively play the latest AAA on the RX 580 if you know how to tweak settings though. The only exception would be alan wake 2.
just recently sold my xfx rx 580 8gb exact same one you have,i had it for like 2 years and was thinking in pc flipping it but thought nobody would bought it because it has an rx 580. so i just sold it by itself
the thing is that i have a chinese version of that card and it sucks. i have had 5 blue screens within the past 2 days. im planning on upgrading to a 2070 super which is in the $150-170 price range

580 is slightly better with 8gb of vram compared to 6gb
My XFX version of this card requires too much
it has a 8 pin and a 6 pin... for reference that means this card could pull 300 watts.. and it won't and my particular card only hovered at 150-160watts.
what the heck was going on with XFX for that? My old RTX 2080super had the same connectors but actually used that wattage. I say old for the 2080super
because I replaced it with a waifu version of the rtx 4070ti

Hey Elijah so my uncle gave me a ryzen 3 1200 for a cheap build and I was gonna get a gtx 760 but I found a 1080 for 30$ on my local market place so should I upgrade my cpu to a ryzen 5 3600 or ryzen 7 2700x? I have 16 gb ddr4 I got it for 20$ and gonna buy a WiFi mobo with 4 dim slots and either a mag a550bn or a apevia prestige 600w and a diy pc q3 argb black or a cheaper sama case
I would say get a 3600 over 2700x. He actually recommends the 3600 in this video so I think he would agree. Ryzen 3600 is 6 cores 12 threads is plenty for gaming. Also the gtx 1080 is way better than a gtx 760, you scored a good deal there. EDIT: Make sure you update the bios to the latest version before removing the Ryzen 1200 CPU.
@@Jwalker76 I know I was on my local market place and saw a gtx 760 and I was gonna buy that but it was 30 miles away and I would have to get my mom to drive me but the rtx 1080 was only 2 miles away so I just biked came in original box and I asked for a plastic bag to bring it home and he gave me one I’m gonna apply new thermal paste but other than that it’s fine no scratches or damages and I’ve heard it’s comparable to a 3060 8gb in performance

I like your videos a lot but dude come on. Next time just say what the card is and then go on with the benchmarks. Don't yap for 3 minutes and then get into the video. Just make the video on the subject, don't stretch a 4 minute video into a 8 minute video.
The “yapping” is useful information. If you don’t find it helpful and just want the benchmarks skip this part. Nothing is holding you back from doing so.
