The way that i find the best of watching math or physics videos is to: 1.) Stop video at the beginning of every derivation or a problem and just do it myself. 2.) Then watch the derivation at around 3* the speed. 3.) If the method presented was better than the one I came up with, I take some notes 4.) After i wach some videos, i do something really chellanging involving as many of the things i' ve learned as possible. For example: when i started learning multivariable calculus, i made a simulation in wolfram mathematica of a ball rolling on the surface of any f(x,y) graph including air drag, rolling friction, bouncing,... If I just watch a lecture without those steps it is very likely, that I forget the things I've learned after some time, but I never forget things I learn with those steps. I'm 17 and i attend gimnazija bežigrad (the best highschool at math, physics in slovenia), where i get a lot of knowlage, but if i want to learn things for faculty in advance, textbooks are so discouraging. I' ve never learned anything from textbook. RUclips videos are the only good way other than in school to learn new things.
I know my life would be perfect even with out these videos... Yet... I want to learn calculus and make life awesome... Just watching it to mix this up with what I do.. And in the process will try to ease the day to day things with this amazing language of mathematics.. Thank you dear for such a selfless and true course... From India..
Hi Trefor. I am currently watching your Discrete Math playlist and at the same time I'm reading S. Epp and K. Rosen's textbooks. What do you think is better to do in order to understand more, watching your videos and then reading the textbooks? reading the content in the textbook before the video?
hi ..i started studying Electronic and electrical engineering .and i wanted to know if the book that called calculus one and several variables is useful or not ..i mean i know it is useful ..but is it enough?? ...if there are any other useful books .please recommnd some for me ..
You just changed my academic life with this video. Thank you so much.
ive watched it 10 times lol

One of the best math educators in RUclips.

Can totally relate and really showed me some of the flaws in my methods.
subscribed. thanks. would love to see more stats videos.

I need to move to Canada.
Agreed!
Is this part of Calc I?
I usually add it to any course I teach, so certainly applies to calc 1:)
Maths does not come from just memorising .
Who support it like it
Pin some questions on comments . We need to practice some questions. Pls trefor bazett
