Phil Collins is from my generation. I’ve heard this song many, many times but this is the first time I’ve seen this live version and I was impressed by the amount of emotion and passion he sang it with. Thank you for sharing your reaction and your lovely smile!
Very good stuff Jassy, great reaction, and I'm sure Phil would be very pleased that you are a big fan of his. Yes he is very passionate in this song as it is extremely personal to him, stating clearly how he was being treated like absolute shit by his ex. ps I gotta take a holiday in the Carribean, maybe I'll run into you..
You perfectly described how we all feel about Phil..it's LIVE THE BEST That little dude came in his suit and still looks masculine and aggressive as it can be
A bit of background on Phil, he was 19 when he joined Genesis. He became the lead singer in 1975 when Peter Gabriel left the band. He started his solo career in the early 80s while continuing with Genesis until 1995. This song is from one of the first tours after he became Genesis’s lead singer in 1976 when he was just 25. Check out this one from 1976 - I Know What I Like. ruclips.net/video/eK9a2jLEAfs/видео.html
Ahh Jessie, this is real, this is personal. But it is needed. Divorce is probably the most humiliating and hurtful thing for any man or woman. Many counselors would say it is the most healthy thing to do, for either individual, in getting out your real response to the defecting spouse, instead of trying to be too respectful.. I think that is basically correct, any individual experiencing trauma must find an outlet. I really hope Phil is happy now!

So many songs to choose from by Phil Collins. 'Don't Lose My Number', is an interesting one.
