There's only three things in the game I actually want in the future NASCAR game I want to be able to run flames on my paint on my race cars I want a good brake pedal and I want to break by us that I can change during the race
I personally don't think that's too much to ask for do you I have very low expectations everything else I want is just I would love to have I have more ideas but no one's going to accept them

@@shurtzryan85 well you might not know this but I believe last year during the lockdown the world endurance sports car championship during the 24 hours of LeMans weekend chose to put that race on with the pro drivers I believe it with with our Factor I'm not positive about that but they chose a different game over iRacing mainly because of the car models being outdated to what's currently being ran
So my opinion when a major racing series in the world chooses someone one of your competitors over you and you're supposed to be this great number one brand to me that says someone's doing something better than you

I just had a thought:
So this potential game could have you pulling out of the garage. Considering the sheer realism, what if this game has a feature where you have the potential to fail to qualify for races? Like, imagine how immersive it would be if you needed to compete in the Daytona duels to qualify for the 500.
After giving it a day of thought, what they could do is add fantasy drivers, or just more than a field's worth of drivers for that matter, to the field to make qualifying 5 times more realistic.

Also, a manual pitting like in Nr2003 and F1 2006 would be a great idea as we had that.

The hype for NASCAR 21 is real
rFactor 2 has by far the best tire modeling in the business. Their tires have 5 contact areas that each produce their own grip levels based on tire temperatures, tire wear, tire deformation, etc. It's extremely noticeable in GTE/3 and F1 cars. F1 feels absolutely amazing in this game. Every other tire modeling out there from ACC and iRacing etc only have 1 contact point. This obviously makes a huge difference in the car's mechanical grip and a massive improvement in the force feedback. Car's handle and feel so much better when you're driving on the edge because of that.
rFactor 2's physics is only held back in that there are some seriously unrealistic car setups you can do to cut 4 seconds off your lap time. That's only really an issue though for top level competitive drivers though. It's also held back in its graphics and sounds compared to iRacing, AC, ACC, etc. Still, ACC is the only sim that comes close to rFactor 2's physics.

There are plenty of Ovals, with varying degrees of quality, but there is a pretty strong league racing scene going on.
The AI for Stockcars is being worked on by the guys who created the cars as currently is buggy.
Just remember everyone, keep expectations in check. RFactor 2 is still a PC sim vs NASCAR 21 being a console game. Also, let's not disappoint ourselves like with Heat Evolution
Also rfactor physics are great but far from perfect, there are a lot of loopholes in the physics engine that can make you drive the car faster in a way that’s not like real life.
i hope i am wrong, but it looks that Motorsport Games will make it too much of a sim, they MUST keep in mind that not everyone that likes NASCAR has a wheel and that some NASCAr fans use controller as well, and rFactor tends to be a bit wacky for controllers

Remember this tire/physics model will NOT be in the game, the engine is still controlled by ISI so we would have heard of collaboration with ISI if they licensed it. Studio 397 helping with physics is very promising, but don’t get your hopes up that it’s rfactor 2 on consoles - studio 397 is just helping tune the physics.
You wouldn’t want rf2 for consoles as an oval game anyway, the ai doesn’t support multiple grooves since it’s a road racing sim.

If Studio 397 is behind the physics, that's fantastic. If they are responsible for things like the menu, then we might be in trouble. Call me a pessimist, but my personal experience with rFactor 2 as of late has been anything but stellar.
I really hope NASCAR 21 looks like this. Driving out of the garage would be super dope, also hopefully have paint schemes from multiple previous years, also having like a cool celebration after a win like NASCAR Thunder 2004 did where they actually walk the car to victory lane and the driver jumps out and celebrates with his team and the fans, as well as in the intro have the pledge of allegiance, flyover, “gentlemen start your engines” and commentary before and maybe during the race. And hopefully in the future maybe even have interviews with drivers after the race. But so far even if NASCAR 21 looks like this we’ll be in good hands for sure

ISI, Image Space Inc. built rFactor2.
Studio 397 is only breaking it. Stuff that was fine during the ISI time has disappeared or is now broken.
Direct, to the point, they broke the tire model. Exactly why rF2 was considered to be the best... they broke it. They did not understand it, it was too complicated for them so they amalgamated many variables together and it's now a shamble.
Proof: Take your favorite car on your favorite track, do plenty of laps while setting up your pressures and cambers so your tire temperatures are all nice and see how fast you can lap.
Then, set all cambers to 0.2 or 0.3. Drop the tire pressures to the minimum. Now check how fast you can lap that track.
I'm happy that Motorsport Games acquired Studio 397 and rFactor2 but they better get their whips out because, at the present time, the only thing S397 can do is eye candy. If not, I'm afraid rF2 will lose its reputation.

I was expecting a more Sim-Arcade-Like experience, like the games that ea used to do from 2000-2009 that are loved by most fans
While the simulation crowd will abusively love it, i feel that it will alienate a lot of people, specially newer fans that dont have a wheel to play
RPR Sim Racing has a server up for the 2018x mod. The cars are a blast to drive. It's not only about the tire physics. The garage actually works really well. Make a small changes and you feel the difference on the track. I have the Sonoma track up, and it's so much fun. You can man handle the car it's so sweet

Mountain Peak is, IIRC, an off brand Charlotte I believe. One more for the oval tracks, and can work as a tand in 1.5 mile quad oval

I wonder if the community creations feature Studio 397 is known for will make its way to the new NASCAR game. That could spell the end of the NR2003 community.
If they can get the turn 3 and 4 at Texas right then that will be a very bumpy corner
I live in Oregon and would love to see some form of NASCAR back at Portland International Raceway! They used to race the truck series back in the early 2000s and the K&N west in the early 2010s.

Driving model im positive will be good. It just comes down to if the carrer mode and ai deliver. We dont want another nascar 15 where the driving model is good but nothing else. Worst case scenario nascar 21 will end up like nascar 15

I would love if they added you being able to drive out of the garage and on pit lane and be able to control your car during cautions. I think that would make the game great
Controlling ur car during cautions would be GREAT
I really hope in NASCAR 21 you can control the car under caution and in the pits and when you win a race you do the post race laps and then a burnout and drive it into line lane and that when you practice and qualify you come out of the garage. That’d just be so freaking awesome. Since they’re listening to the community and even are working on a paint booth maybe they’d listen to us on wanting the stuff I stated if anyone agrees with me.
Edit: and I hope for once in a nascar game they make Sonoma actually drivable.
rFactor 2 simulates Yellow Periods perfectly, SC is controled by AI but the driver has full control over the car and you also have pits open or closed. It really is amazing with the details regarding all racing procedures.
I'm racing in an Indycar League in rF2 and FCYs have their own complete set of rules and procedures to follow. No overtaking, pits open first to lead lap cars then lapped ones, finally when one lap to go remains to restart, in Stock Cars you have to go double line and all. The sim is great. And Motorsport Games are using it to the extreme, and I love it.

Try playing project cars 2. Same depth as rfactor 2, but they have officially licensed 2017 cars and more ovals. Not as realistic but a fun suggestion

Enjoyed your video very much. So much so, I watched it twice! Here is a few notes...
The ISI "Oval" tracks are not the best for AI. The ISI-S397 guys are RC experts.
Machine tracks have better AI, but most cars are not yet tuned well to ovals.
How were ovals made? Google earth data, video's, photos & coffee.
Quite a few of the stockcars use skins the guys race online.
Stockcar 2015 has an older tyre model.
Stockcar 2018 has the new more realistic tyre model
I am guessing, S397 will not be working on Nascar Heat. MG bought the code and knowledge.
Unrestricted tracks only work with supported mods unfortunately. (very few, all with the old tyre model)
The AI version of Daytona is really just a test version with slightly different AIW settings.

I understand the games will be geared towards accessibility but I’m hoping there are options presented to us (similar to a dirt 5) where arcade is an option but something closer to this is an option as well
Probally will be more this than arcade, if they will get rfactor physicis it will be a heavy sim
I love this game and think about what he said if there working on nascar 21 um this will be GOOD!!!!!
One final note: rFactor 2 can be frustrating as it's a quilt of official and community based contents, mounted on top of an old base engine which has been patched up and improved. S397 are working hard to improve the user experience, but sometimes you get stuck on troubleshooting.

Rfactor 2 does feel better than iRacing but I will say that ever since I got the accuforce v2 and got it dialed in with Sim Commander I went from hating iracing to actually loving it. It feels so alive compared to when I was using a clubsport wheel. I can actually feel track detail, engine vibration in the steering wheel, and even catch slides before they get to where it’s past saving. I’m amazed at the difference compared to before every time I boot it up.
If they brought nascar heat 5 ai and rfactor 2 tire model and physics together we would have the best nascar game
There is so much mod content for rfactor 2. You can do just about anything you want.

Nascar 15 is the best nascar game in my opinion

I would like suggest play with a mod that really works very well considering without official support from Studio 397...NASCAR 2019. Michigan, Martinsville, Daytona, Talladega are unofficial tracks but has a good AI behavior when set correct but anyway, force feedback even those mods are unbelivable!

The Monaco is "MonteCarlo 1966" which is included with the game via the Steam Workshop.
There are 2 paid DLC versions of Monaco in the Items Store for rFactor 2 on Steam "Monaco E-Prix Track" is a short version for Formula E street racing and the actual modern Monaco referred to as "CIRCUIT D'AZUR"... so its sort of well... complicated 😁

You can put the UI screens in list mode for viewing cars and tracks which makes it a bit easier....

Just to say, but not to downplay it. This not gonna be the exact product because Rfactor is a PC sim and NASCAR 21 will be consoles and PC.
There will likely be arcade settings for console/controller players.
The only downside to rFactor 2 is the spotter voice. Wayyy too computerized/annoying in general. Hopefully they'll improve that on both rF2 as well as the new game. You timed this video perfectly as well to catch the update to Lime Rock Park!!
