What HSD do you own or are interested in?

I an interested in the HSD model tern, and truly appreciate your sharing of your knowledge/experience in e-bike world. As a very overweight person eager to return to the saddle I keep thinking the stronger the motor, battery, torque is what I need to accommodate my weight. Do you have any suggestions on a Tern for large riders?

@@lisacappellano2593Hi Lisa! All the bikes that have the folding handlepost will have the same max rider weight due that piece.
The Quick Haul has a standard handlebar and stem so the max weight is a bit higher.

One more thing: for those of us who hate shifting, the S+ is an absolute godsend and a marvel, and there's no equivalent automatic shifting bike in the Gen2 line.

Hey thanks for the advice, I'm absolutely loving our gen 1 p9 performance, it's perfect for our needs and being able to swap batteries with our gsd is really helpful. It's super hilly around here but like you advised the performance model has the guts we need, even able to trailer the kids to school when the GSD was in the shop last week.
Thanks again for the help 👍

Shaun, So stoked to see you on the HSD. I know you have had your concerns with the GSD Gen 2 but it seems like you like the Tern product enough to take on a 2nd one!

@@BikeShopGirl yeah absolutely. Just needed to get my head around the what my kind of riding means when it comes to maintenance on a bike plus I there really is no other product out there that does what I need it to do. The good will of tern and a good dealer makes a huge difference too.

We already have a Gen2 GSD so went with the Quick Haul as the 2nd bike instead of a Gen 2 HSD since we can share the batteries/chargers

Awesome. Which Quick Haul did you pick up?

@@BikeShopGirl Tern Quick Haul P9 Sport - Blue Gray . It now sits next to our Tern GSD S00 LX - Beetle Blue. Love that the Transporteur Rack and RidePocket are interchangeable.

I’m riding my trusty Cetma Cargo front loader with an aftermarket motor. Still no cargo bike dealers here on Cape Cod so I haven’t upgraded yet to a Tern or Urban Arrow. (I was saving up for an Urban Arrow Shorty, but then they discontinued that model in the US! 😢)
