Why do I watch all these farmers? Personalities. Though I do not have a You Tube channel, but my son does, I can relate to the farmers and their struggles. I do not farm, but I too have my rough seasons on getting work done and doing it in a cost effective way, raise a family, pay the bills, maintain a house and still have a smile at the end of the day or better, a good laugh. How to Roll with the Punches. FBN, you hit the nail on the head with this gathering. Great work!!
I have been watching all of you for at least 2 years. My favorite is sustainable homestead farming like Justin Rhodes and many others I've been watching forever.
Some of us grew up on a farm (40 miles east of Omaha), left in our youth, designed and developed the computer systems you now use, and now in retirement enjoy reminiscing watching your farm videos.
Thank you Nick Welker for being humble about where you came from and your status and popularity. Thank you to the panel for making such an informative and funny video.
Follow 3 of you for a while, with joy. Yeah, it"s not just the farming. All around the farming is entertainment to. That"s why so many people like it that much i guess. Just because you are ordenary people, like us ;) Thanks for the joy!
You ask the question will this trend of farming social media continue? I am 55 y/o, an ER doc and was raise on small farm. I have not watch network TV in 5 year. I started watching youtube to find out how to do something and came across Zack's channel. I now subscribe to about a dozen farming channels. I rarely get upset watching the vids (unlike when I what fox new, and sometimes oneloneyfarmer). I think people like reality more than fake drama you see on TV. Maredith - go Carolina blue!
I am a 70 year old retired professional and also cancelled my Netflix subscription because I find RUclips videos much more entertaining and informative. my first Farm vlog was TDF honest farming. A Dairy Farmer in Tillamook. then Derek had rice farming TV as a substitute for a few days. I had always been interested in rice farming in Northern California I live in California And then I got lots of recommendations and now I watch farm channels, Homestead channels and other stuff. Who needs Netflix the stuff is real and much more interesting Sandi Brock is so entertaining when she's in lambing that I have to watch her Instagram an addition to her daily. and there is gold Shaw Farm. Morgan left his job as a chief marketing officer for a 35 billion dollar company because while he had always had that as a goal he did not find it satisfying. So now he raises and ducks and a few chickens as he develops his farm into something that is larger.
Just admit it.......you just wanted to find some free beer, that's what it was all about. 😂🍻 Looked like it was a blast.....hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Agreed, the RUclips algorithm works against diversity of information as anyone that searches any ag-related video gets recommended the same 5 "farming channels". many of the highly recommended channels do not address the larger issues of agriculture and the future of food. As consumers become more informed they're looking for more information about food nutrition/ labeling updates and how exactly we move your food from our farm to your table! deadliest catch was a great show too guys... but how many times can we watch them catch crab? #GTFU is the next evolution utilizing social media platforms to connect consumers directly to producers.
The RUclips algorithm certainly is interesting. Deadliest Catch is an addicting show, but it's true, after watching 13 Seasons, I wonder what's next. I also think the lifestyle portion of the stars can be very interesting, the hobbies of our community at large.
Had they had 5 people it would have been a complete mess! I do enjoy farmer videos and I appreciate their time and efforts! I wish they would condemn GMO/GE/CRISPR technologies and get back to all natural growing! For eating all these illegal alien foods will eventually release Pandora's Box where nature is so contaminated we never recover!
I honestly believe the game Farming Simulator help everybody in the farming community because of people looking for videos and they end up on actual farming channels and never left....tell what y'all think...?
I have been watching many of these farm channels on RUclips since the beginning but most of them now are unwatchable as they are just giant infomercials. Especially MN Farmer. Welker Farms is getting bad also. Not really interested in the remodel of a new summer home to be honest. Will seek out the new farming channels and enjoy them until they become too commercial in nature. Believe me, I understand why they are doing it. Money and that's fine. and yes FBN is the leader of ruining these channels. Brought to u by "FBN" or I am wearing my new FBN underwear LOL.
Agreed, the RUclips algorithm is the killer of diversity of opinions, anyone that searches any ag-related video gets recommended the same 5 farming channels. many of the channels do not address the larger issues of agriculture they are simply tractors driving back and forth. as consumers become more informed they'll be looking for more information about food nutrition and how exactly it gets from our farm to your table. #GTFU
I totally love @welker farms inc and I'm into the lake house remodel and just seeing how his family functions around the life of being a farmer. I'm so excited when i see a commercial because I know they are making some sponsorship money but I skip it asap because I don't farm and don't care about those products, most of the time. But I do enjoy seeing how high tech affects farming so if it is a commercial about that I might watch it. I also love Cole the Cornstar and This Farm Wife. They are so real and somehow it is relaxing to watch them even though they are working so hard the views of the nature around them still makes it seem worthwhile. I think farmers are the backbone of America so anything that helps them to be successful is exciting and so much better than the Kardashians.
@@sisterchick9044 thank you for the kind words about American farmers, without question you are 100% correct that these farming channels are much better entertainment than the Kardashians! I think a few people on here or simply pointing out that for a number of years RUclips recommends the same 3-7 channels whenever you type in the word ag, and they are often either over-the-top or they're simply tractors and trucks driving back and forth... And that has its place but how many times can we watch that? there are hundreds of other channels that are addressing the deeper issues of Agriculture like the nutrient density of our food how to increase soil health how to create a healthier more biodiverse ecosystem that works in Harmony with modern farming practices. Nutrient density in our food is a major issue today I would encourage you to look into it. There is so much good information on RUclips, we all enjoy watching these guys videos, there are just many others that are actually discussing far more important topics. Thanks
Grow The Farm Up great reply i will check that out. i was watching from more of an entertainment point of view but i love to learn new things and welcome the chance to learn more about real farming. i’m an air force brat so even though i didn’t grow up farming for a living we lived on a small one in ohio with a few
oops ...didn’t mean to reply yet... we had a few crops and some livestock for a few years while i was in elementary school. those are awesome memories and probably part of why i like these videos. but people watch for a lot of different reasons and i think that’s what the panel was discussing. i can see how the algorithms would be annoying and you make a good point that there are more serious things for real farmers to discuss and learn about. i just felt like some commenters were all upset about commercials interrupting the video which i think is just part of being on youtube and also the extra money on the side for sponsorships is something farmers really need so why not? some people will choose the more informative videos and some the more entertaining ones. The audience will be varied for sure. i just represent one type of viewer. But “nutrient density” and “soil health” here i come! still gonna watch the lake remodel and cole the cornstar clean out his workshop too though! Blessings!
It was a pleasure meeting all of you at F2F and thank you for what you do
Farmers are not ordinary people they are extraordinary people and the world owes farmers a big THANK YOU

We offer educational videos to farmers, and watch real farmers compete.
Like all your videos. Grew up on a farm . Love all your big bud tractors
What you guys do is REALLY important. People need to see what farmers deal with, every day, to put food on our tables.
My Space is still around and it really the place for music appreciation.
