In the previous video, I covered historical and typological aspects of this important element of architecture: the facade. In this one, I address a series of themes that have to do directly with its design: opaque vs. open, rhythm and repetition, structure vs wall, the structural grid as an expressive element, horizontality vs. verticality, sun protection, the facade and what it reveals, etc.
