- We spend some time checking out the new BEARS! which will be coming to Vintage Story in the near future. Coming in part with the new 1.16 update. So much good stuff!
These bears are quite something... They are GIGANTIC! and hit like a truck at that. So come learn a thing or 3 about our newly beloved and highly feared bear companions!

People who talk to themselves are often the most interesting conversationalists.
Looks like there's still some dev work on the bears to do. I don't know how I feel about them squeezing through one high spaces, I can understand it would make sure they don't get hilariously stuck in forests, but it seems a little too tight. I'm also curious how aggressive bears will be. Black bears for example are not super aggressive, they're more curious, but Brown bears can and will kill you if they notice you, and polar bears are just murder machines.
Also I totally thought that Red Riding Hood and the Three Bears was the gag. I thought "oh how clever, he intentionally mixed up the fables for a goof".
I haven't yet tested all that stuff lol, wanted to give devs a lil more time to refine the bears before going too in depth. Subject to change and all.
I think varying aggression is a really good idea! Couldn't be more true in regards to bear behavior. And see pandas rolling around being silly 😜.
I'll do a great many things for the sake of a giggle 😉 lol
All these bears, but I'm still waiting on wolf taming! Need me a buddy to make these solo games less lonely.

Bears seem like an interesting addition, although i'd like to see wildlife interract with drifters... Imagine bears scaring away surface drifters...

More interaction between everything would be really nice. Animals fighting animals fighting drifters. Make everything more of a wildcard and dynamic?

That'd be a really cool mechanic, tame bears for them to lead you to bee hives. I'd really like that to be a thing!

It would be cool to see them fight a wolf. I always wished wolves attacked stuff other than rabbits. Let's see one head to head with a ram.

I think that huge pelts are in the game... I believe in vanilla, possible it was a mod and I'm remembering wrong but im 80% sure haha

It'd be just about the coolest thing! Legend has it that there may or may not be a bear saddle currently in game 😉
I thought the sun bear was way too small and the polar bear was way too big. The black bear seems juuuuust right.

I don't know 😅 just skimmed through the video and i didn't see it. Currently i had no mods installed, and no salmons lol.
There are fish in the primitive survival mod, which is a really neat mod btw id recommend.
