  • We get a ton of questions about primitive reflexes, so this week we are answering a few of them! You'll learn the most common causes why reflexes don’t integrate, how to know if a 4 year olds reflexes are integrated, if curling the toes when learning to walk is reflex related, what it means if a 20-month-old doesn't like to be raised up high, and what the impacts are if a child didn't crawl and 'bumshuffled' instead. I wish I hadn’t been told not to worry about my baby not crawling! If I could go back in time I would have sought out OT to assist with crawling. She definitely struggles now with writing and certain motor skills and does have retained reflexes.
