This is a steal for what you’re getting, easily costing 2.2M. You had me at the first sight of the interiors, feels Volvo for me. Great review Kyle. Those commenting on this being Chinese probably haven’t had one or are just boomers trolling FB. No offense folks
True. But Chinese PHEVs have a lot to prove. No data on reliability since these are new vehicles. At 1.6M, your best bet could be the trusty Toyota haha. Corolla Cross hybrid at 1.6M is the real steal. The only good these new PHEVs do is disrupt the pricing, forcing others to be cheaper. PS I'm a millenial with a Gen Z heart lol
Toyota Cross hybrid ain't a steal. It's a rip off. Price range and tech, way way low tech for an entry HEV of Toyota vs 1.5 Pug inhybrid. Not even close. And this is a 7 passenger car. Infortainment screen very disappointing for Toyota brand. Not to mention interior materials. Let not go to torque and hp.
I've been watching out for this for several months. Unfortunately the main office is in Central Luzon and not in NCR, though I think they have a service center somewhere in Caloocan. I hope DFSK can open up more locations closer to the capital
Heres the thing, people will be apprehensive about this but I just saw one owned already by a medium size business owner when I visited a warehouse in Taguig. We chatted and I asked why this, his reply was it just made sense considering the price
It'll be a good time when car makers make a point to tell consumers more information about their vehicle's batteries. It'll be nice to know the composition, manufacturer and model used.
@@erickaspiras9941 according to a reliable source, the DFSK E5 is a parallel hybrid. Meaning the engine is can propel the vehicle directly at the same time also charging the battery.
I don't like the front side and I saw it in personal. SL6 is more appealing but this is better I think due to the 7 seater. I think its range will be longer than SL6.
It's actually good in person. I have done a test drive lately. I also driven the BYD SL6 and for me this E5 drives better. Not sure why. Also, the features are pretty stacked and can compete with the SL6. The SL6 does not even have a dashcam.
Thanks for the awesome review, Kyle! And nice to meet you earlier at the launch!
As well sir :)
This model is definitely worth it. Its driving dynamics are premium and quick on its feet. It is highly recommended.

hahaha true! This only costs 1.588M - 1.888M

Yes agree, great interior except the steering wheel. That logo is meh.
Mas gusto kasi ng Pinoy ang owner type jeep kasi made in Philippines 😂

that intro was insane
This is the ideal seating arrangement.
3 seats on.2 row.
Hmm this is first time im seeing this DFSK and I think you're the first presenter reviewing it here sa Pinas, nice car ha, both inside and out.
Not the first actually haha!

Over time, more dealers should pop up!!
and Araneta Ave.
All good review. 2 to 3 years from now still good? No airbag problem. Re sale issue. Burning issue.

@@KyleLiongCars if given a chance to buy a PHEV which one you will buy, this car or SL6?
@@KyleLiongCars if given a chance to buy a PHEV which one you will buy, this car or SL6?
BYD Sea Lion 6
I haven’t driven the SL6 enough yet
Would you mind reviewing the JAC JS4 Luxury. Are the features acceptable for it's price
When demo units become available :D
Waiting for this
It's finally here :D
Can the V2L still be used even when the engine running in PHEV mode?
how about the battery warranty and cost sir kyle?
Blom masuk indonesia dfsk e 5 phev terbaru
Will wait for BYD
If the EV battery bogs down, would we be able to still use the car through its petrol engine?
We have to confirm that with DFSK
Alam ko hindi kapag PHEV
Depends on the system actually. Some PHEVs can, some can’t
No. The CAR is powered by the battery, the gas is just for charging it. Just like a gasoline engine pag sira alternator mo parada ka.

/does have spare tire like donut ? like reserve ? and adaptive cruise control?
No donut spare tire. No adaptive cruise control. But the tailgate is electronic and it has wireless carplay :)
Baka may aftermarket donut spare tire?, braumach from Australia is selling it for BYD Sealion6
Prices start at 1.558M for the entry level DFSK E5 PHEV, and go up to 1.888M for the variant featured in this video.
That's 3M up if it has Toyota or BMW badge.
True. This is only 1.588-1.888M tho
If this was bmw, more like 7-10m

DFSK EV vs Geely Okavango UP+ 2024? Sino mas okay?
nice car but again after sales and parts availability will be an issue
Every new car from every car brand has this issue
True
im only @4:05 of the video, and this is already better than the Sea Lion just because of the physical buttons
:D
Bakit basa? Nakakapasok yung tubig sa loob?? 3:44
That’s normal for EVs with the charging port cover. Yung charging port itself naman waterproof yan :D
why is the side mirrors reminds me of a toyota
I don’t see it haha
Lol i thought it gets 1k plus range on single charge but its actually a plug in hybrid phev in short.
hmm..I don't know...
Philippines celebrate new China made car 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
is this a chinese car again?
Yes. You’ll never get a car like this from legacy automaker below 2m lol
@KaisiirFlynn i have no plans of buying it since we bought car already this year, a 2nd hand used car.
Yes
Ok then
Drive it thru flooded road . Not too deep see what happens
I did. Nothing happened. EV batteries are sealed haha
Why do people think that EV are more prone to flooded roads than normal cars? Try driving your normal car in a flooded road then?
ternary lithium battery dangerous
Looks suspiciously like the ford territory.
??? Layo though
