Thank you for the video, it was very well explained I must say. I have DJI Air 2s which I crashed a few weeks before and broke one of the legs. After having replaced the leg I was able to fly the drone for a few minutes but it was not a very stable flight and I was able to land the drone safely. After landing I started getting IMU errors 30084, 30055 & 30056. I ordered new GPS module, IMU module and GPS flex cable to sort the issue. Replaced all three components but I was still unable to calibrate the IMU. It keeps getting stuck at 6% calibration and gives a calibration error. Any clue what might be happening here. Thanking you in anticipation and looking forward to your worthy guidance, please.

After heat up IMU with hair dryer for few minutes and put it back together flight few times and no sign of problem hopefully that will stay like that .
I have had the same issue with my Mavic Air, the sensor state is disconnected. It is only a few months old, no crashes as far as I can tell (bought it used). I have tried heating up the IMU circuit board with a hairdryer for a couple of minutes, reassembled but still have the same error. How long did you guys heat up the circuit board for ? I didn't want to damage the plastic ribbon cable with the heat so maybe I didn't go as long or as hot as I should have.
This Works!!! I used a small Butane torch lighter, heated quickly for a few seconds, partially assembled drone powered up and Voila!! no more errors, Thank you!!
Is your mavic air showing main controller data error? After it crashed on a hard surface? Or kept in a cold or cool place for long? watch Dji Mavic air tear down on RUclips to see how to open your mavic air, then rehot the IMU on the coreboard if it hasn't worked for long, but if it crashed on a hard surface, ie concrete or pillar, then some wires inside may have been disconnected, just refix them, assemble your mavic air, off it goes, thats how I fixed mine.
I have no idea what the heck Rehot means. I think it is like reset? The solution as I found was to smack the heck out of the Mavic Air, this allows the accelerometer to free itself, as it is most likely stuck from a crash. Once it is free, you can re-calibrate the IMU, and fly normally.
Like magic, your are the best, works perfectly, before ensemble make sure your emu is working, I heated like for 40 seconds 2 times and now it's working

Yes I have the same problem. The IMU itself gets very hot from the first day as soon as I recharged my Mavic Pro 2 !!! I have only 3 flights !!!! Flight duration 3 minutes Test flights on the site !!! DJI is not a global market leader. They have a global problem with the IMU bloc. This is a shame and a shame !!! I get all the same error codes and when I check the sensor's state in advanced settings it shows "disconnected" for both GYRO and both ACC. do you think that could be the IMU stuck or possibly like a bad board maybe? Unit was barely flown and always gently, never a hard landing and all sensor connections are good. thank you.

On mine I have accelerometer and gyroscope not connected. I was wondering if anyone who has been through this solved it by heating the IMU controller.

My gyro and my accelerometer are disconnected and my imu won’t start the calibration. Only flown 3 times each one successful although it has been since summer last I flew it.

@@Nikhockey1 That's what mine says. Not the gimble, though, I don't think. The accelerometer for sure it says disconnected. Which is different than indicating it has an error.
If you haven't given up yet. With the power off, you can smack the drone against your hand, more violently than you think you should, but not enough to break anything. If it doesn't work the first time, try another direction. You may want to remove the props first. This smacking should free the accelerometer, it did for me. These results are not guaranteed for you, but I hope it can work.
@@RiderObvious the way you do it ... I've done it often on phantom 3 series drones and it did work. but for the drone mavic air it doesn't work just by smacks the part imu controller.

My case:
1)Open the IMU

the rehot I mean here is heating the temperature of the imu controller with a steam solder or blower. can also use a hair dryer.
I never considered heating the IMU. Good to know if I have more issues. Physical abuse is the route I took. :) Thank you for the video!

It worked for me. I had to really give it a whack or 2 or 3, heck I beat it for a good 5 minutes, but I had crashed the day before. Now all is okay!
