(Jesse Ventura voice) "that's because the NSA has installed audio listening devices in all the hardware stores because they want to know when people are spraying thermite paint on buildings. The government is spying on the American public"
"We're in earthquake country." Perfectly delivered! If Adam acts even a little better in Road Hard, I think were in for another great movie by our Lord and Saviour Ace Rockola.
Christopher Brown I really enjoyed Road Hard, but I think the Hammer was a better movie by far.. not to degrade Road hard but the hammer is just THAT good.
@@chrisbrown18andup I barely remember Road Hard, The Hammer has the greatest and most memorable scenes and always has me coming back to watch it every 2 years or less
I can't believe I'm just finding out about this movie. Had never even heard of it, don't even know anybody who's heard of it. Instant classic, loved it.
I did an estimate for a client who was in the middle of a project. we basically had this conversation. the Ace man called it. only contractors will get the humor of the duel
It feels wrong but to my surprise, enough that I recall this enough to comment, indeed I used drywall screws for a comparable project and they actually did grip into the wood and hold longer than whatever the proper wood screws were. Why that is? I have no idea but there it was and I can confirm.
My dad worked his way up to boss being the foreman and first started paying taxes at the construction company at 15 years old although he went to the job site with my grandpa when he was like 5 and did stuff like cabinets and could read a tape at 5 years old. He eventually had to wear no toolbelt and just read the blueprints and tell people what to do and go to meetings and speak to the architects. He was the foreman and was involved in over 150 projects including many Walgreens and CVS pharmacies and massive remodels to schools and hospitals. Too bad he wasn't around anymore he would know all this and know if he was forreal. He had to fire people who just didn't catch on or showed up with excuses or called in a lot and was just behind the owner of the company. Mainly sheetrocking and metal studs but did everything basically even side stuff. I still have several of his massive rolled up blueprints. He always even for small stuff didn't cut corners or so shotty work and made sure it was perfect.
I've been listening to Adam for...5 years? I dunno, since he replaced Stern...and I have never heard him mention Harbor Freight. He sure as hell isn't going there to buy Makita power tools.
He has and is with the rest of us. Most of their tools are one time use and throwaway like angle grinders, but he did mention the 1 inch impact wrench because it was a fraction of the price over IR and was impressed with the torque in the garage.
If I was a conservative type, I would be demanding that Carolla gets a primetime sitcom. The comedy in this movie was subtle and deep sometimes and sometimes in your face over the top. Perfect for selling DVD box sets.
@@jamesr5719 It's been over a year since I made that comment so I'm not sure what I was thinking when I wrote it. My best recollection is that the deep meta jokes and very specific references Carolla uses in his humor stretched out over the course of a 12 or 22-episode season of a sitcom would have tons of easter egg type mini jokes that make for great rewatching and DVD commentaries. As a left-of-center type, I do think Carolla is one of the better conservative comics in the business today.

This was such a small pat for Jane Lynch but what a fucking pro - she nailed the dialogue and she totally got and captured the essence of the scene.
Entire movie is criminally underrated.
Brilliant. Offensive, self-deprecating with precision wrapped up in a comedic bow.
"Cut corners people get hurt." *Sniiiif*
"It's a tool shed not an underground parking structure". (looks away)
This is classic Adam, shows why he's such a comedic genius. "I hit 690 in the Van Nuys unlimited arc league" hahaha
Great Carolla, great Lynch, and great scene in the Hammer.
Counting out every goddamn nail while everyone in line is losing their minds is so accurate 😂😂
Hugely underrated movie.
RIP Ozzie.
😢 he will be missed! He was such a character, naturally hilarious
How did this end up in my recommended. I had this exact situation today

🤣 I totally read that in Joe Rogan’s Jesse Ventura impersonation voice. Which, if you haven’t heard it, is spot on +25% more Ventura! 🤣
Because nothing is real

I have always been convinced that Corolla just memorized a bunch of construction lingo and knows just enough to fool people who don't know anything.
I always felt his "that guy" act was just a avt

I remember him testing Trump Jr recognition of power tools by sound alone to see if he really worked on site.
Jr aced it 😂
Jane: "Aw thats sweet.......a 'deck' right?" hahahaha
I love Jane Lynch. She’s the best. This scene had me dying.
Great movie!
Cut corners people get hurt.
That final contemptuous look of superiority from Jane Lynch kills me every time 😅
Who hangs a heavy bag with toggle bolts?!
using a rotohammer is no big deal, just get some 3/8" anchor bolts and a single jack
what i would give to hear jane lynch talking about screws all day, wow
Get it on 🤘🍺
