Counter-strike will always be tradition.. And I think culturally, deep down, the theme of terrorist vs counter-terrorist was very significant over the last 2 decades. But the world has changed now and terrorist attacks or the clear divide in the world back then is not as present as it was. Unity through Diversity is the driving force of today's culture and that is why valorant, with it's characters/agents representing different parts of the world, will appeal more to the new and younger generation.

" CSGO is dying because the new content isn't being added " CSGO never relied on its developers in the first place. It's community is what makes this game the most special game of all time. If only valve fixed it But even then It's timeless, you can't kill it..
Valve is legally not able to improve their Anti-Cheat due to their policies on privacy. Which is why they made vacnet which only works after someone has cheated because they can not make their anti-cheat intrusive enough like Vanguard. So if you don’t want to play vs cheaters you gotta play faceit.

Tried CSGO after seeing my friends playing. around 2017 - 2018 I think, they did warn it had a very toxic community, at least in my SEA server, and after playing a few games where I constantly get shot at out of nowhere and missing all my shots (by spraying, yes), there was this game where this player just no scope carried the team. Being the newb I was, I asked, "how do I get good at this game?" The reply was, don't play it. And I uninstalled it there and then. Fast forward to start of 2021, another group friends had tried to invite me to play Valorant a few months back, but I had some trauma from the CSGO time and thought it would be a similar game; fast pace, confusing, and toxic community. Surprisingly, after watching some OTV and friends' clips on RUclips where they were having fun, I decided to try the game, and wow, it just sucked me in. The agents were fun to play, I only met very very few toxic people in games (most were having fun and being nice), and overall it has been a pretty good experience. I still suck at Valorant, though.
Well, being good in cs and gettin 1tap headshots feels more rewarding than valorant. I tried game myself, its good, but i was sick of it after 2 months, same as my friends and we went back to cs.

Ik i dont play valo now doe but i still know that fact cuz i like sage
ive played counter strike for probably more than 20 yrs and I can say Valorant is cool and has a chance. though ive just played the game for just a week and a half now, i feel it's a worthy successor for the new generation, at least, but not necessarily a replacement for the old players. Counter-strike will always be tradition.. And I think culturally, deep down, the theme of terrorist vs counter-terrorist was very significant over the last 2 decades. But the world has changed now and terrorist attacks or the clear divide in the world back then is not as present as it was. Unity through Diversity is the driving force of today's culture and that is why valorant, with it's characters/agents representing different parts of the world, will appeal more to the new and younger generation.
that is a very cool analysis i didnt think about, sheesh
Pretty cool Analysis, Haven't thought about it like that but demm , it seems kinda true though
I'm 34, have been playing CS since 2002 starting with 1.6 and stopped playing CS:GO in 2017 after I achieved Global Elite because of the cheating problem. It felt like I achieved my last goal in Counterstrike and that there was no more point in continuing because playing against hackers again and again is no fun and doesn't make sense.
When Valorant was announced I was pretty hyped, though and have been playing it since the beta. The fact that you forget about cheaters in this game because there barely are any is such a great feeling that I missed in many online games in the past few years.
I'm a CS veteran and I instantly switched to Valorant and never looked back. Valorant is clearly the better game for me.

In terms of playership no one knows I'd it really is dying since there's no concrete way of checking. People love to assume things to favour their arguements and I find that so stupid. People saying that csgo also gets more viewership then valorant are ignorant to the fact that valorant has nowhere near the same amount of tournaments as csgo not to mention csgo has already built a franchise in its 15 years while valorant has yet to even have a LAN. @@olsaaan That clip was like 5 years old or something and taken just after Shroud said: "My mods; feel free to fucking ban anyone who bothers me about playing more CS:GO" because they felt he should practice more for tournaments instead of streaming PUBG iirc.
They wanted to underscore the hypothesis of their essay with a quote and didn't really give a shit if it was contextually appropriate. Probably lazyness, but it might be personal bias and willingness to decieve by means of an out of context quote from a person of authority on the subject (Shroud being a famous former CS pro).
I'm guessing they had to fill their upload schedule and just shat out this video quick and dirty. But it wouldn't surprise me if the people who really care about the superficial douchiness of Faze Banks, CoD Optic Gaming and Nadeshot's 100 Thieves also prefer the more marketable Valorant over CS:GO.

Maybe it is because I haven't slept tonight but what does this even mean?
The CS series as a while only exists because of its hardcore player base. The game was essential created by the players (origins as a gmod) and is kept alive by players (it sometimes feels like valve would rather it died). CS is the peak of Competitve FPS because it has had 2 decades to improve and be refined. You can’t just recreate that in the way riot are trying to.
@Iconic Assassin companies don't own game genres
Clip It! What he’s referring to is not necessarily the game itself. Of course you can copy the game and the gameplay, but you can’t replicate the community and everything surrounding it. The emotions and the feelings a game gives you are not something that you can just force. CS has history that Valorant does not. Many people grew up playing CS and still play it today and there’s something to be said for that. Wir müssen die Kommentare übernehmen haha
true xD
JAA MANN!
Skywars mit Senpai ^^
True ich habe einfach stolzer für deutschland als bei der wm 2014 gefühlt
honestly, I don't even want Valorant to take over CS. I just want a thriving competitive scene with decent viewership to make adverstisers happy. I want longevity
yep. i love val, i just dont want them too rush new guns agents or maps. Thats whats killing R6.
Yea, I love val too but i don't wanna see cs die. both games have their strengths that I love. For example, Cs doesnt have raze. 10/10
@@kuromaki6226 i remember the house patch, one of the most fun maps and they fucked it up, or fucking up maps that didnt need fixing or making new ops that sucked total ass.
everyone is gangsta untill counter strike source 2 comes out
Frick ya dood
Cant wait for cs source 2
Forget it bro, it will never happen
hopefully ur true
source 2 will come out 10 years after I'm dead
Valorant is like a party , Cs is like home
That title will bring some salt here
Lot's of it in fact
Why? It's an objective clone in the sense that it's a high precision tactical FPS with bomb sites, and it's hard to argue against that a competitor wants to kill the competition
I can smell a karen....
@@Casper76 Not necessarily, they cam co-exist much like how league and dota 2 is coexisting. My problem is, this title. Let's face it, tribalism is very profitable and this channel and much like any other big channel these days are banking on it to get those clicks and comments. I'm starting to hate this channel lately tbh.
@@Casper76 with the description you gave, COD Search and Destroy, as well as R6 definitely fits the bill
"Rebibe me jett"
"Green green, whats your problem green"
Shroud saying csgo is dead is a meme at this point, he’s been saying it for years, it’s meaningless and anyone half good at cs literally don’t care about his opinion lmao
How is he wrong? CS is alive because of the players. Valve doesn't do shit
@@tingispingis they sont but do they really need to make any changes? the game is good where its stands right now no op aug/sg shit no broken stuff either
@@tingispingis Theres like an update every month or so. Its no big patches since the game has been balanced and tweeked to meticulous perfection for 20 years. They really cant change much only add operations and rotate maps. Theres also another operation probably this coming week. Its always funny seeing comments flaming valve when CS wouldnt be this smooth and crisp without their management
@Silver Prince faceit?
@Silver Prince sure but this thing is very hard to deal with
People: *debate*
Me: door stuck!! JETT rebibe me JETT!!!!
this game's release had perfect timing in 2019-2020.
Exactly more people inside
Im a cs player and i go to valorent to regain my confidence when im on a loseing streak in csgo and then when im feeling like an aim god i go back to cs to click on pixelated heads
It's the opposite for me
Depends on your rank
Lmao same when I die so many times, I go to valorant to feel motivated then I go back to csgo Because I feel like god after playing valorant
try r6's pixelated head looking throught bullet hole
@@redapple360 i dont like r6 now the old time was bette and no not cause of nostalgia. I quit after white noise all the gadget feels too unrealistic now they shouldn’t have gone for the 100 operators. The thing about cs is even old players can keep up with the newest update since its not a huge change unlike other games
I'M IN THE VIDEO POG 2:54 "HenryG is Rebuilding C9"
Lol
That intro is chill literally CHILLSSS
honestly shroud is just dig riding every game thats promised to give him more views.
Lol when shroud became popular its like he forgot where that popularity came from
Sorry for my english
@@soven100 I concur. (Sorry for my inadequate intellect in the fundamental principles of the English language; I am still in a developmental phase and aspire for my impaired translational dialogue to vastly advance in the coming of years.)
@@kzrr master
Yea at the time of warzone in first 2 week he said he is enjoying the game and it is the best game he have ever played but after some days he said call of duty is not the game he likes
Dudes a hypocrite. Csgo made him famous and never appreciates it
