well for 1 listen to traditional georgian music. At Eurovision they had such tipes of music. Sorry for my bad english, i am romanian and i learned a lot of stuff about their culture.Kartvelian culture, ALPABET and language are independent, and for outsiders their culture is WEIRD, STRANGE, alien. They are sometimes discriminated, coz people are used to EUROPEAN LOANS and not georgian.Everyone wants to be italian in fashion, spaniard in dances, yet no one wants to have a piece of their mind, a piece of theis dance. Look on internet for georgian dances.... simply AMAZING. SO THE ARTIST TORNIKE, did here something quite UNIQUE for EUROVISION. Love Georgians HOW THEY ARE. The song is also about Globalisation, about melting pots, and beautiful cultures suffocated of american style

For those who are a little bit confused about the lyrics, I guess that it's kind of hard to understand for people outside Georgia, so let me explain for you. The message behind this song is that Georgian people and the country itself is very unique, exceptional and special in its very own way. That's why it often have to meet lack of respect, appreciation and even attempts to change its way of living to something similar to European. It doesn't have to imitate other successful countries to become worth of attention. That's not in any way a personal attack on countries mentioned in this song. It's just the problem of global stereotypes. Unfortunately, we are not always accepted the way we are. Good job, Tornike. Proud of you.

It begins with some grunge vibe from the nineties, that sadness in an angry tone, that despair and lack of hope. Then he screams and he asks himself the same question that everyone of us make to ourselves in some moment.
Why that person doesn't love me as I am?
And despite the simplified lyrics, they say enough. Using countries & stereotypes as example, he says something very contemporary: why sometimes it's so hard to be accepted as we are?
I find this song unique in an ESC context. This is out of the box. The saddest song of the year atm, and it's not a cheesy kind of sadness.

For all those criticizing the lyrics for being offensive or whatever- this song has a powerful Message about being accepted for your true self and that you don't have to change yourself, in this case being like spain, german, english or italian people, to be loved. So don't freak out because your country is mentioned, the intention is not bad or offensive!!! Georgians are recognized for: hospitality, cordiality, decency, reliability, talent to have a great time and take everything optimistically, sense of humor, national dances, passion, great cuisine and wine, magnificent nature and mountains - I really suggest you all to visit them, it is not expensive but you will get plenty of rare authentic experience and recharge your spirits. It is save Christian country. They do get compared with Italians a lot and not recognized fairly enough in the World because they were dissolved inside USSR and pressed by Russia afterwards so still have struggles.
