    Having been a Hydrasports owner, 1990 Vector 2000DC, I can attest to the absolute superiority of a Hydrasports versus any other boat. Not only is it extremely strong, but the hull design of my 20 foot dual console was the best in the world. My boat could easily handle rough offshore waters and did not slam down on a wave, but it instead came down smooth and softly and the large bow flare would send the water out perpendicular to the hull away from the boat. This would result in a dry ride/boat even with a crosswind. Hydrasports ride was so good, I could place a cup of soda on the console and run 30 knots in 2-3 foot seas and not spill a drop....amazing. Passengers could sit up front and not be slammed or drenched in running in wavy conditions. Being a dual console added to the ride and performance because of the weight distribution superior over a center console model. As a fisherman, the dual console provided far more room in back where the fishing is done. I could easily fish 4 people in back and have room for coolers, tackle boxes and the live bait well.....impossible in a 20 foot center console. My 1990 had flat gunnels which made it easy to walk on or mount antennas, etc. Also with a dual console there is no tower in the way when you are trying to cast. Further, the dual console had a sturdy SS Bimini top and full curtains so it was comfortable fishing in the winter cold or taking shelter under a storm plus it afforded more shade when up than any center console top. Suffice to say, I loved my Hydrasports 1990 Vector 2000DC and can comfortably say it was the best 20 foot boat ever made. With too many more practical and convenience features to mention, I believe the designer of this boat was a genius.. I miss it more than one can imagine.

    I love my hydra sport. It’s a very well though out and designed boat. I bought it new in 02, I yet to have any “stress cracks” or chipping of the gel coat. Great job, quality product. Best I’ve ever had. Thank you

    This is the first boat factory video where I see all the workers wearing proper PPE. Sure, it was short in length, but at least someone thought about it when recording. I am looking at a 1995 21' Center Console model. Wonder if the manufacturing process was the same back then as when this video was shot. I think Hydra was bought in 2011?

    Fill the transom with putty instead of using a high density coosa core? Hmm

    The foam filled area in the knee is a mystery to me. Water, somehow finds foam in boats and saturates it. How is that avoided??

    • @corradomusicstands639
      @corradomusicstands639 5 лет назад

      There are several types of foam - the foam used in boats is closed cell meaning - does not absorb water - simplistically - think in terms of your styrofoam coffee cup.....

    • @c5back9
      @c5back9 5 лет назад +1

      Corrado MusicStands: the PREFERRED foam in boats is closed cell, but not all manufacturers have used that type. There are probably millions of boats in use today with waterlogged flotation. And to further confound consumers, there have been reports of boats with what supposedly was closed cell flotation also retaining water. In fact keeping flotation dry has proved so challenging that many builders currently opt to put no foam flotation in hulls that aren’t required to have it.

    • @c5back9
      @c5back9 5 лет назад

      High Velocity: that’s the right question. Boston Whaler and Key West both completely sandwich foam between hulls and decks and still experience water intrusion and retention in some of their boats from time to time.

      He was the president of Hydrasports, not the owner for almost 20 years with that company. That man built the band as we know it today. And now runs blue wave boats. Alex one of the good guys in the industry
