July this year the beach was covered with thick algae the staff tried very hard to make ways to get into the ocean some where there BUT, most we Un the pools...forewarned pools not cleaned the sand pool on several occasions had vomit in them...eventually we got on the app and requested clean
NOT SO FRIENDLY!! was there 7/23 Lobby staff great some of the restaurants staff were short tempered an really didn't want to be bothered with us travelers..Sand pool look for Maria makes great drinks however, watch the kids who are there they take the cups you drink out of to play in the pool the cups are collected and re-use for YOUR drinks. #1 suggestion bring your own. Some people complained of roaches we had no problem other than the mosquitos after two days we asked them not clean the rooms because they leave the doors open..bring your own spray OR you will pay $35 for a can we had to do it twice from their pharmacy on property...bottom line we spend 9 days here stay most of the time at the RIU resorts this is the WORST & we will NEVER return here again!! If you are on the fence I encourage to go to Trip Advisor and read the reviews unfortunately we did not and it was the worst vaca everrrrr!!
