      He asked chatgpt how many ''tire changes needed'' while the game asked how many new tires would be needed for 52 months if 1 tire is needed every two years.
      He needs 1 tire for months 0 to 24. He needs another tire for months 24 to 48. He then needs a 3rd tire for months 48 to 72.
      To use the bike 48 months, he'd need 2 new tires.

    This chat is empty-headed. It asks how many tire changes every 2 years so every 24 months. The game got the answer wrong because it would have to be at least 72 months for 3 tire changes. The answer should be 2 tire changes because only 52 months has passed.
    52/24=2.16
    Even if you round it, it would round down. You also can't change a .16 of a tire, so whole numbers only. Why would the person that changes a tire after 24 months suddenly change the tire after 4 months in since the second tire change?
    Also for the people saying it counted at the initial bike purchase. It's a bad question. The question never specifies if the bike is new or old. Even if the bike is old it doesn't necessarily mean the person ever changed a tire before. If the bike is new, purchasing the bike initially does not count as a tire change.
    TLDR: It's a bad question and the game got the answer wrong.

    • @WilczukPL
      @WilczukPL 7 дней назад +1

      the problem is that we don't know when should the first tire swap happen, since we don't know when the preceeding one happened before the question was asked. that means there are two possible answers based on that factor(the .16 in the number). still the game is wrong assuming one, less likely outcome.

    • @NoU-b6u
      @NoU-b6u 7 дней назад +4

      @@WilczukPL Based on the fundamental purpose of these questions, the question would favor the bike starting at month 0. The question is testing your knowledge on the fact that there are 12 months in a year and 24 months in 2 years and that 52 months is 4 years and 4 months. The nature of this game and question favors starting at month 0 over a unspecified amount of months since that last tire change or purchase. Think about it why would you start 52 months in the middle of a biennial tire change period. But technically you aren't wrong either.
      So yes, while 3 tire changes is a possibility it logically wouldn't make sense for the nature of this question. The question would favor a month 0 start as if it was old the game would specify that it's been lets say 20 months since that last tire change. If the game specifies the time since that last tire change that would actually make a good question. But based on the other arithmetic questions, the answer is supposed to be straight forward and you shouldn't have to logically start at an unspecified amount of months into a tire change. It would make a lot more sense for it to start at month 0.

    • @WilczukPL
      @WilczukPL 7 дней назад

      @@NoU-b6u you would assume that it starts at 0, but there actually is no reason for it, hence the logical trap, though it also makes an issue of two possible answers. but the truth is that the designers probably made a typo in this question and the number of months they wanted to put is 72

    Last question was just a bs question cause you have to assume some things yourself cause you don't know some parameters, eg the exact time the tire change occurs on those 2 years
    1. If the bike is new, the answer is 2 tires cause there would have only passed 4 months since the last change of the tire (current month 52, prior tire change month 48) so you assume that a change isn't needed
    2. If the bike is not new, then the above scenario could also be possible,but you can also assume that the first 4 months are of the current year, then the 48 remaining are the next 4 years, so there are 2 possible scenarios:
    a)The tire change has already happened, so there won't be a change in the remaining 4 months, again having 2 as the answer
    b) The tire change hasn't happened, meaning that there will be 1 change in the 4 months remaining plus 2 future changes, so the answer is 3
    Again it's neither chat's nor X's fault, its 100% game's fault

    The natural assumption could be that a bike with an owner is initially in working condition. If we establish that it’s in working condition, then it’s more likely that the initial tire is younger than 1 year and 8 months old in the 2 year cycle, the threshold before the bicycle needs a third tire replacement by the 52nd month mark. In other words, it’s ~84% likely that the age of the tire is within the range of [0 - 1 year and 8 months old) rather than [1 year and 8 months old - 2 years old). In any case, math problems shouldn’t be designed to present uncertain variables and conditions that rely on assumptions completely unrelated to the subject matter

    31:19 … you just got a new TIRE (not tires) on your bike. You’ll need to change that TIRE in 2 years. We start at 1 tire.. 24 months 2 tires, 48 months 3 tires. A 4th tire is not needed until 72 months.

      The question is VERBATIM "Joey's bicycle needs a new tire every two years. In 52 months, how many new tires did he need?". The question specifies that a new tire is only received every two years, not when you first get the bike. Even if you counted the initial TIRES (bicycle = 2 tires) you would have 4.

      You start a clock at 0 and every minute you get 1 stone. After 2.3 minutes how many stones do you have? Obviously 2 and you don't round up since it makes no sense in the context of the question. So why after a little over 5 years do you have 3 tires. For it to make any sense in the context of the question the answer HAS TO BE 2 unless you just assume that you got the bike some time before year 0.

  • @MidzukiHaru

    its 3 because the answer is 52/24 = 2.xx, and commas always get rounded up if its a tangible countable item. For example, you can't have 2.4 of a tire. its either 2 or 3, but because u cant have 2.4 of a tire then u round it up. either answer is correct depending on how they intended the question to be, the blame lies solely on the clarity of the question.

    • @banjoscope
      @banjoscope 7 дней назад +2

      with that logic it would be 4. after 2 years, both tires are 2 years old and need to be changed, and the same after the next 2 years so 4 tires. The question probably intended to say „on average, 1 tire needs to be changed per 2 years“, which makes 2 the correct answer. 3 is bogus

      I dont get it. if he has a new bicycle and needs a new tire every 24 months, he would need to change it once after 24 months, twice after 48 months and three times after 72 months. so it doesnt matter if it 49 months or 71 months, he would still only need to change it 2 times since he changed it 2 times after 48 months.

      @@the_real_master798 because its any 52 month period. not 52 months from immediately changing the tire. it's a badly worded/trick question really. as the other guy said. take a gap of 52 months and space it out by 24 (going back to 1 when you hit 52) and you will always fit it 3 times. could start at 30, then + 24 would go past 52 and back around to 2, then +24 to 26. you changed it 3 times with 4 months to spare. 16 - 40 - 12, 25 - 49 - 21, 43 - 15 - 39. any start will always hit 3 times before it goes back to the starting number

    • @NoU-b6u
      @NoU-b6u 7 дней назад +4

      @@alexkarp130 The problem with this logic is that you are assuming the bike is old. The game never specifies it being old at all. It could be either. Even if the bike is old it doesn't necessarily mean the person ever changed a tire before. If the bike is new, purchasing the bike initially does not count as a tire change.
      You say 3rd month but that implies that at least 2 years has prior to the tire change to the 3rd. The question never specifies it's old either you can't assume it's old. It logically wouldn't make sense to start the 52 month period in the middle of the two years.
      It asks how many tire changes every 2 years so every 24 months. The game got the answer wrong because it would have to be at least 72 months for 3 tire changes. The answer should be 2 tire changes because only 52 months has passed.
      While it is possible to fit the 3 tire changes in the 52 month period you have to make a bunch of assumptions.
      TLDR: It's a bad question and the game got the answer wrong.
