"Musicians" is DEFINITELY the word. PTV get lumped in with all the other 2000's "emo" and scene bands, but just like MCR, they deserve entirely way more credit beyond their hits. The latin influence on their guitar and instrumentation and even vocal melodies is just insane, these dudes got an entire generation of white suburban kids banging their heads to salsa-style hardcore breakdowns, that's just representation done right lmao! "Dive In" and "Caraphernelia" are other essentials for y'all
I loved all the emo scene stuff from back in the day. Still listen to a lot of individual songs from a lot of those bands. PTV is so much more than all of them though. I still listen to every one of their songs. All time favorite band. I believe that makes First Punch my all time favorite song since it's from my favorite album by my favorite band. Lol Can't wait to see them again.
