Yes, just south of the main park: it can be a noisy hood depending on your street (bus route or not) but everything is within half an hour walking distance or so, which is one of the many reasons why the colonia is very sought after! 🤔😌
The air conditioning unit over the door seems like a practical joke. Since warm/hot air rises and cold falls, that doesn't seem like it would be effective in the least, especially given it's size. Does it work well in that space? The cost to cool must be more oppressive than the Mexican summer heat.
Hi Amy, I've recently subscribed to your channel because I very much admire your easy, breezy style. Yes, I said easy breezy! I have a house in Itzimna for sale and I would love for you to look at with a view to showing it on your channel. Hit me back at your earliest convenience so we can talk. Thanks, Todd
Hi Todd, thank you! I'd love to. I'll be back in Merida in February. Do you have a link you can send to me at amy@amyscasa.com? Tomorrow's video is a walking tour of Itzimna.
House is gorgeous, however, not sure why you added music over your voice near end of the video. It would've been nice to get some historical info on the house i.e. age, who/how it was built, why they are selling etc. It just looked as if we were just watching you wander around giggling instead of actually "showcasing" the house. Disappointed.
Thanks for the note. I felt like I did not have much to say at that point (felt a little more babbling). Next time I'll do a portion of the video without talking an all and just have a bit of music. Still feeling my way on these. thanks for the comment.
Needs so much work! The furniture has to go; basically the owners don’t even want to bother with leaving the house clean (pressure washed) and empty of junk. The floors are not an enhancement, need to be ripped out.
There is a lid for every pot I say. The floors are a 100% keeper and a major selling point in my opinion. Have a look at the video I did in the factory where they hand pour every tile. It is quite the process and very interesting to watch.
So beautiful. Mexican houses are so gorgeous.
Agree. These homes have a rich, cultural, elegance.
LOVE IT AMY
Hola Victor--VEN!!!
Beautiful historic house✨️... it would have to be restored by someone who knows what they're doing... Congratulations 👏😃👍
Casa Amy,
Finally. A kitchen with a hood vent!!
Nice, roomy gourmet kitchen.
Love those huge hood vents!
Yes, I love it. I could have that.
Me too. :)
Gorgeous!
I like that it is on one floor
That is so key. I love one level houses.
I can’t say enough how you get more bang for your buck in Mexico. Sure, that price is a little high but look at what you get! ❤❤
So true. It literally is a historic mansion. I love how the rooms all flow together.
Just an amazing home..
Currently listed for USD875k, 12/24
bubble territory maybe. though who knows
WINNER, WINNER!
THAT COURTYARD PATIO IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!!! ❤
Is San Juan south of Plaza Grande?!

@@sophiemarcaurele The property is at about the same "latitude" as the main park but a few streets west
Hi Peter. Yes it is a wonderful neighborhood in Mérida.
I think it’s fine just the way it is
Yesssss
It would be nice to make it a hotel boutique…and it has to be expensive to keep it cool in the summer 😊😊😊
It would be a fabulous boutique. A/C can be offset with solar.

Casa Amy,
Is that vase the "tip jar"?! 🤔
yes, and it was empty. ha!

The doors are the clues..to Tartarian history...there were people much taller in those days...
