    How does your fondant stay so nice? Mine will start cracking or not hold detail well. I can’t find that clay like consistency. I’ve tried with just a bit of tylose, no tylose and made gum paste. It just doesn’t hold up while I work with it

      Hi. I only use Saracino modelling paste as that’s the best for holding shape, no cracking and staying in shape x

      @@shereenscakesandbakes3258 thank you! I’m gonna see if I can find it. I love making 3d fondant characters for my cakes, but it’s so frustrating when it begins to crack.

      @@shereenscakesandbakes3258 and have you tried Renshaw? Seems easier to find for me

      @@bish_puddin I use renshaw flower and modelling paste for my roses. If you can’t find Saracino modelling paste, you can try making your own, I made my own for about 10 years before finding Saracino. You mix 250g sugarpaste with 1 teaspoon of either CMC powder, tylose powder or gum tragacanth (I preferred gum trag but it is the more expensive option)

      @@shereenscakesandbakes3258 you are incredible! I was able to find the Saracino here in Florida at a local cake shop😁 I just did a nurse graduation cake with a bunch of 3d decorations and let me say… Thank you thank you thank you!! This stuff is awesome. It was a night and day difference and now I’m looking forward to more 3d decorations which is what it will be reserved for.

    How did you attach the heavy model on cake?

    • @shereenscakesandbakes3258
      @shereenscakesandbakes3258  10 месяцев назад

      I use sugar glue to attach and I usually add it straight after making it so it’s still a bit flexible and easy to attach and ‘bend’ a little on the curve of the cake
