- Clips 2 fix here, showing you how to fix any rear tail light on my Peugot 308/307/207, which has some corrosion on the connectors of the earth wire.
This was bugging me for ages and I finally managed to fix it, so If it has helped you, then give me a like and sub !
Equipment needed:
- Earth wire matching you adapter wire from rear light ( e,g, 1.5mm)
- Copper wire
- Spade Terminals
- Heat shrink
Much cheaper than a garage expense of up to £150 ! save yourself the money and follow the video !
Thanks. I had this issue. I opened the cable connector inside the light housing and cleaned light corrosion/oxidisation on pins with a wire brush - all fine for now. Took 2 minutes.
Well done for vid mate, but recently done a TT with same issue. You surely don't need to cut earth strap like that & have to join with wire. You can make an easier connection by self tapping or with a nut & bolt (depending on bulb holder design) straight through the earth strap.
Brilliant, just done this to my sons Peugeot worked perfect , six month ago the offside rear failed and cost him £150 , this time cost 15mins and a couple of spade connectors, Thanks
I'm no electrician but this is great Advise and now my lights work fine thankyou!!!!!

Cheers man, you turned a nightmare pocket money bomb into an easy fix! Great video and intelligent instructive know how. Thanks!

Yes helped me so much fixed my peugot 308 doing the same method ! :D
Peter Shaw , same here . Saved a lot of money mate
Decent video well done. The basics were explained so any one including dummies and fools can tackle it
Brilliant. Car sorted. Thanks
I was loking on the way to fix this on a Mercedes Vito W639, my contry still requires you to have lights on during day (yup and i am In Europe) so the constant load on the wiring almost guaranties to burn out a connector after few years. I used a kit from lidl for making connecters, took some 10 gauge wire and put on an O type ring for a scew, then i drilled a hole for the wire and the screw. Holds up preatty good so far. Your menthod is much better but my lead of ground was not the same thinkness as that standard connector... sad hahaha
brilliant.. this was giving me nightmares!! All sorted now !
Paul Walsh glad it helped
AFTER THE 2:38 I DIDNT UNDERSTAND NOTHING. WTF!!!!!!YOU PASS TOO QUICKLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART MAN!

What didn't you understand?
There's a button that you can pause, rewind, and forward if need to.
cool vid
How did you connect the burnt wire together? Becausw i did the samw thing, but there is a gap to join them.
great fix. a question though, why is it always the left side that's problematic? any idea?
Did earthing. Then, what would be reasons that only one bulb is on. Why?
any video on the remove tail light wiring plugs for a Volkswagen 2002 Jetta
Hi, i changed brake bulbs for zafira 2013 but when i hit brakes , the power goes to tail light and glows with high power instead of brake light bulbs. Can u suggest what could have gone wrong. I cleaned the circuit holder but problem.not solved.
My p206 tail light is going crazy with alerts on the dash saying all of them are faulty, will this help ? I’m scared I may completely break it
I have a 1991 Nissan Sentra XE (5 Speed) the right rear ground is too wierd...I must run another ground/earth wire to it...The original screw was stripped...I took a 6/32 bolt (used on electrical wall plug outlet boxes with 2 nuts and a lock washer...installed it & it worked...(for 3 days...😒wah!!!) I figure my internal metal ground is faulty...bulb is new as well...it must be ground!!!
Cool
I got a Monte Carlo my brake light works n my blinkers work but my main taillight don’t work it’s not the fuses nor the wire. Harness should this work and should I try doing this ?
nah only if u see the earth wire is burned out.
How u fix urs I’m having the same issue
Do you need to disconnect the battery before rewiring?
i didnt... guess u can if u want to though !
solder? crimps at least surely!
Ok, great so you've fixed it but by god ya bloody butchered it!!
