Am I the only one who worries about mileena slowly becoming a mad empress like the old timeline
I honestly think the reason how she fights her tarkat in her chapter was because she was happy being reunited with her family. It was her drive to keep them safe and on top of that trying to show off to her father to prove she was worthy of being the next heir.
Honestly that's a very good analogy!

Bro don’t do her dirty like that. Lmao so much people hate this game. DLC is what made this game sell tons. I mean they have a stacked guest list that everyone was and still is going crazy for.
My headcannon is that the reason mileena left the palace was to meet up with tanya because she was going through so much with sindel and jerrods death and the banishing of li mei maybe tanya was the only one that was comforting her and when they plan to meet up mileena was attacked and affected with tarkat
Finally got round to watching. Great analysis, you hit some really good points. Visually though, Mileena is actually a lot more ornate than Kitana, she even has friggin door knockers on her legs, and an actual tool belt. The top looks tactical but the bottom, including the waist sash is a lot more decorated than her sister's. Her fun goth hairpiece is also incongruous with the sleeker designs of the other royal women. She even has silver adornments clashing with the more formal gold trim on her clothing. These clashing style details are a grerat way to show that she does not fall in line with royal decorum. Additionally, Mileena doesn't have any purple elements on her, unlike Kitana, who wears a purple sash in story mode. The purple matches the colour of Sindel's clothing, implying that despite Kitana's devotion to her sister, she outwardly represents the will of her mother as empress. However, when together, you notice how Kitana always physically lowers herself to Mileena when talking about court issues. You see it when she leans forward to take her sister's hand when playing mediator between her and their mother, and when they're talking furtively at the festival. When they talk about their honest feelings, Kitana speaks to her at her level.

We did not mileena to be the good guy in order for her to earn the respect she deserves and finally elevate from a jobber to a character to take serious. She had the potential to be such an amazing villain. They blue balled us so hard in MKX when she was in war with kotal for Khan. God they literally had everything in place to make Mileena a menacing strong female villain. The Mortal Kombat IP still has yet to have a female villain. Kronkika is a nothing character she literally has no substance and is so forgetful. Mileena would’ve been as, if not much more iconic as the khan of outworld. Everything went downhill tho. I still want a MK story where she’s fighting and winning over outworld it would be so cool

The fighting scenes suck. Why would Mileena go straight into this choregraphed fighting. None of the characters use their powers in their fight scenes smh. Looks so goofy
