Guys, girls, from my point of view, u shouldt be chasing the "trends in music production" let me explain.
Before, it was metro booming type beats, drake type beats, idk, future or nav type beats or melodys or whatever. In this case is yeat, which is blowing up right now, but, what will happend when he is not trendy anymore? Another type beats will arrive, u will try to copy them and try to sell it or whatever, but the point is U ARE CHASING FOR NOTHING, the next trendys will arrive on and on and "everything u did for yeat, drake or whatever will be useless". In my opinion, it is allright to understand that knowledge and to aply for ur own purposes, try to find ur own style, take tips from metro boomin, take tips from yeat and keep taking tips for the next ones, but dont try to recreate the same shit over and over, it will carry u to no where, as there are millions of people doing exactly the same, so what makes u different from them? N O T H I N G. But if u "break the rules" experiment, mix different tips to create ur own shit, bro, maybe it is not the best, but it will be different, catchy and memorable. I didnt wanted to piss u off guys, i just wanted to share my POV to save time for u, to enjoy the best of music production and to improve your music career.
I hope any of u could live from his / her music careers one day. Blessings for all of u and keep working, not just hard, but harder and smarter for follow ur dreams!
