    Just discovered these! My older brother.....he’s really old now.....worked at North Central Airlines Chicago circa 1968. Talked about the DC-3s, Convairs and of course the DC-9s. Can’t wait to show these to him!!!

    That was the furthest south North Central flew prior to its merger with Southern Airways to become Republic, so it was kind of a portent of things to come.

      It stopped in Detroit.

      You're forgetting the time difference between Florida and Minnesota. The flight was about 4 hours. There was no stopover in Detroit, this flight was nonstop from MSP to SRQ.
