Yes, decanting one's milk is going too far! No one looks in my fridge and says, 'I can't believe she has ugly milk cartons in here!' 😂 Love your hacks. I have tried so many of them! Also, I think those purple flowers are very nice!
I decant mine once it gets low enough. I put it into a glass milk jar. It frees up the space for a new gallon while not waisting the quart I have left.

the milk containers are amazeballs for those who make their own milk. from almonds, cashews etc. but I also think they are great for homemade juice blends as well.
Love the planter boxes and the Cafe Paris crate looks amazing! Love all your ideas, but really thought the one where you turn the tote bag in to a throw pillow is brilliant! Great video! Your grass looks so green and lush already!
🖐🏾Ok, I'll admit it, I would *definitely* decant our milk. I like the idea of being able to clearly see the amount of milk we have without having to pick up the container, especially since I don't drink it.
That milk container was actually perfect! No one in my house drinks milk; I cook with it every now and again but never buy the liquid form. I keep powdered milk on hand so I can just mix some up when needed. Would be nice to have a dedicated container to store the extra in other than my measuring bowl.

The purple flower arrangement in the crate is really pretty. The only thing I can remotely think of using the milk carton decanter for is if you happen to use powdered milk that you need to reconstitute. Otherwise it is too much, just leave your milk in it's original package.
I do however have an idea about the milk. You could put it in a more decorative glass bottle. Like one of the old fashioned bottles they used long ago. In the container shown, that looks like it would be good for your juices or protein shakes. I find when I make those, it makes about two servings. It’s a bit big for one if you were to divide it but plenty of room to shake it up.
If you own a bed & breakfast or a motel, it might be nice to have the milk in a "decanter," just to make it look more "lah-ti-da." It would be festive for a party or family gathering, too. You could have different flavors of milk for a kid's party.... strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, plain, almond, coconut, etcetera. 💓💓💓
I love all your ideas with the planter boxes, and the silk flowers, so pretty. I haven't been to Dollar General in a long time, but the items you showed I'm in awe. I've been looking for a rise for my planter, the one at Dollar General would be perfect.
I have the solar flower lights. I love them. You inspire me all of the time. I love my front and back porch. I love decorating them and spending time enjoying the outside.

I don't decant much except sugar, raisins and baking items. The other thing I decant is the giant bottle of scent beads for the easher that I buy from Costco. I put all of those things in dollar tree glass jars but I would definitely not decant milk.
How I wished I had your energy & talent Katherine!! I love DG!! They have really stepped it up in the home decor department!! Love all of your ideas!! The flower lights are adorable!! I would definitely not decanter my milk!!

The half gallon milk container!!! Haha. I dropped our almond milk the other day and needed a container to store the milk before I lost it all. That would have been perfect. Haha. I have been buying and using Dollar Tree seeds and bulbs for years!! The bulbs take a bit of work, but they are a great learning experience for gardening. Just recently bought Queen Fabiola and Ranunculus bulbs/corms and they are coming along lovely! May not flower this year, but I will unpot them and let them dry for a day or two and then put them in brown paper bags to sit in my basement. I bought some lily bulbs from a Dollar Tree over a decade ago and I still have them. Still grow nasturtium and marigolds from seed bought over five years ago. Well worth the money!!

I just found this channel about a month ago. Love the variety of info. It has helped me a great deal (the Dollar Tree sells that?), not to mention the motivation it has given me and it helps me when I get discouraged or overwhelmed. Catherine's personality is such a mood boost. Good grief all of this in organization and money saving videos. Personally not interested in the crafts, but just not my thing. Big thumbs up. I look forward to watching a couple of episodes every evening (I am watching the old ones in between the new ones). Keep up the good work we appreciate you.
The milk decanter is for the milk containers purchased that don’t have the plastic lid. I buy 1/2 and 1/2 from Costco that is the “old school” tear and pinch that I hate since it gets soggy and doesn’t pour properly after a few days. I would sooo buy one of these!
The plastic milk container may be used by folks who are in areas where their milk comes in bags. Such as in the Caribbean, Europe, and Canada. Or for folks who likes to make their milk from powder or plant based. Can be used to make juices from frozen concentrate too. So many uses.
I might decant milk into a glass container but only because I think everything tastes better from glass. Come to think of it, I still have a couple of glass milk bottles from dairies, and if I can find lids, I will try it :)
I really love you & your videos, but not only is the DTs in my area, in no way like yours, but the DGs aren't either. The DGs here are private owned & look more like flea markets in a building. Very frustrating & I'm extremely jealous of the ones you have at your disposal.
I haven’t seen you posts in a long time! I loved the pot you did with purple flowers. The faux flowers that you hung out your upstairs window, that was amazing! ❤
Maybe the milk / juice decanter is for a quick and easy way to see how much you have left, rather than guessing by trying to look in that small hole or picking it up to feel how much is left. I think it would be better for juices and teas. Rectangular and square containers are easier to organize than round containers, they tend to sit more flush against each other and the side of the fridge that round. And lastly, you get to see the pretty colors of your juice, and isn’t that what it’s really about, lol. Thank you for sharing!!!
I have the plastic purple flowers from the end of the video from amazon and they faded terribly in a couple months. I keep painting them with acrylic paint, but its a pain. They said fade resistant as well... but look great for 1 season!
Amazing vibes Katherine!!! Love your videos they are the perfect pick me up! I know here in Canada we get our milk in bags so perhaps some people decant them because of that? Thanks for the wonderful tips!

Hi Kathryn, as always a great video! Thank you! I wanted to return the favor and share this info: 🌸The ranunculus package has gone from 9 down to 3, they might be cheaper at a big-box store. Lowe's and Home Depot are having sales right now!!🎉 🌸DT has plastic eucalyptus stems 🌸And finally, I *do* decant my milk into a glass milk jug. Studies have proven that it helps the milk to last longer. And, you should keep it on the lowest shelf in your fridge!🥛🍪 🐄
That milk shaped container would be cute for a coffee bar maybe with powdered creamer Or even glitter or vase filler The shape is neat Great video and ideas
Those white metal folding tables that you showed in the beginning may be available at 5 below for less, I bought some a few years back and the top works as a serving tray also.
Awesome video Katherine, thank you! 2 comments, 1 question. IMO the flower solar lights are tacky but can see potential. They’d be great for a little girls backyard party or you could easily diy a fun game using them for a bridal shower or decorate inside and out of a child’s outdoor playhouse or Fort or let them create their own backyard space using them. Secondly, yes the milk decanters are going to far…unless you are Canadian! We would be able to pour our milk into the decanter and be rid of the ugly milk jugs our bagged milk have to be put into. My question is, do you know how much the large blue and white rug cost from Dollar General I think? It was the largest shown but it was all rolled up and I couldn’t see the price unfortunately. Trying to decide if it would be worth a cross border shopping trip. Thank you again, ❤ from Shannon in Canada 🇨🇦
Your over the banister herb garden reminded me of when my stepmother planted one with basil. There are wild turkeys where she lived, and they helped themselves to yummy basil, until it was gone! I teased her that it was a new way to infuse her meat with herbs! LOL (They didn't eat the wild turkeys.)

The shape is neat
Great video and ideas
Sorry I tried to hit the thumbs up but it wouldn't light up 💯💓👩🏽🦳
Wow your Dollar General is so clean, organized and beautiful!
Decanting milk is unnecessary but I could put homemade liquid in there like iced teas or juices
I have used the plastic ferns, mixed it with other plastic "plants" and it looks great. I have it placed in my entry way
Totally agree with Charlie - milk already comes in its own container!!
I loved the crate with the purple flowers and the pillows you made. You are awesome!
Thank you again,

That milk container looks like a nightmare to wash and dry 😱
Oh, my goodness!! How did Carson get so big?? He's adorable. Great video, Kathrine!
I love it all but mainly the milk container😂😂😂
Purple flowers with Parisian box is beautiful!
Love this video! Also, I bought some plastic milk cartons from Temu to put homemade creamer in.
Imagine going to the dollar tree and actually finding what you went there for!!
